Enjoy your stay in Tequila!
Amazing location right on the square in Tequila. It's a typical colonial style hotel with tile floors. Super clean with a pleasant and attentive staff. The only issue is the noise from the music blaring at the restaurant below. What's most upsetting is that most of the time the restaurant is empty after 10:00 yet the employees keep blasting the music until well past midnight making it pretty much impossible to sleep. The price is right though ... for less than fifty bucks you can get a nice, safe, clean room ... as long as you don't mind the noise!!!
We stayed only one night in this lovely historic city and stayed at this hotel that is located right on the city square. We stayed on a Tuesday night in early January on the main floor. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and because our Spanish is not great, we were happy that English was spoken as well. The rooms are clean, beds hard but that was great for me and the shower was great. It was SO quiet! I know things may get louder depending on holidays, weekends, etc, but that is to be expected and given the most excellent location of this hotel, a problem that can be resolved with ear plugs. We loved it and are planning to return. There are so many really fantastic restaurants in the area...shopping and of course, Tequila tastings! Wonderful city, excellent hotel.
We stayed here the week between Christmas & New Years 2017. This was our second trip to Tequila, and we chose this hotel because on our first trip we were able to see that it was right in the middle of town and close to everything you want to do in Tequila! The rooms: The rooms are very clean and decent sized. You will have housekeeping daily with fresh towels and toiletries. The rooms are not huge, but that doesn't really matter because you don't go to Tequila to sit in your room! The rooms are bigger than in the last hotel we stayed at in Tequila. The staff: The staff is exceptional! If you don't speak Spanish, there are a couple of people who speak English who work in the front office. We were able to get around any language barriers with Google Translate (there is WiFi free in the hotel). The noise level: Regarding the noise others have mentioned - is most hotels in Tequila, the rooms are set around a courtyard, and yes, sometimes the sound does echo in the courtyard as they are open air and the buildings are concrete. But I found that ear plugs did the trick for me and it didn't bother me. Also - yes, you are RIGHT on the town square - so there will be some noise from that - but that's also a huge plus, as you are right in the middle of town and of all of the action. Location: You can step outside the front door and be at a dozen restaurants within about 2 minutes. You are right across the street from the town church, and you are right on the town square. While we were there, there were tents up with people selling crafts, and food vendors. It was great! Hotel Restaurant: The hotel has a restaurant that is charming and has very good food. Try the Hot Cakes for breakfast! You won't be disappointed! Also their coffee drinks are very good. Overall: I'd definitely recommend this hotel. It's inexpensive, close to everything, has clean rooms, and friendly staff.…
Our room (310) was directly in front of the square where you’ll find mariachis, tourists, cars, drunk people screaming and so on until 4:30 am approximately. You’ll be hearing them as if they’re right next to you. And just when you thought you’ll be able to sleep, the church bell will ring at 6:00 am. We went there with our 8 month old baby and begged to change rooms but the staff refused because...well, they didn’t give a damn. Lovely place.
Always that I speak of my country always I say “ the best place that you can find you spirit is Mexico”. Tequila is not only a beverage, Tequila is her people, the wind, the childs playing, Tequila is feel the aguardiente in your mouth is feel good.
