Tequila is not to our knowledge serviced by any bus lines from Puerto Vallarta although tour buses are an option as is renting a car. Tequila is a small vibrant borough approximately 60 miles south of Guadalajara. The inhabitants are proud of their town as the roads and gutters are free of garbage, home owners each morning wash the sidewalks in front of their homes or stores. Even though the major employer are the numerous distillers, the people are well aware of the benefits of the tourist dollar. The hotel we chose was the Hotel Quinta Tequillan. Just outside of the downtown core. The hotel is spotless, airy and welcoming to potental guests. It is approximately three to four blocks from the downtown core area. The hotel does not have a restaurant nor a bar, but the receptionist is a wealth of knowledge as to where to eat. Our room 'La Tequila' had a T.V. with no English subtitles, an air conditioner, and a marble bathroom with separate tub and shower. Seephoto. Rather than hiking back downtown we had the receptionist order for us a large five topping pizza. Excellent value and only 120 pesos. Security ---100%, road noise very little, coffee available at 6.00 am, and hot water for the shower. My only beware is the two inch rise between the bathroom and the bedroom. At 2.30 am and heading for a bathroom break the rise can definitely get your attention. Good value and super clean, five stars for this hotel.…
We booked this hotel for two nights . we were on our way to visit family, and needed a couple of nights to rest. Loved how spacious the room was, everything was clean and well organized. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
