Just 90 minutes (traffic free day/time) out of Nairobi city is this peaceful lodge. Great spot to chill and enjoy the scenic hilly side of Kenya. Freshly cooked local cuisines. Swimming pool to cool off. You can stay over night or go for a day visit. Not 5 star but definitely a good break from the city buzz!

Masai lodge is a quick getaway from Nairobi about 70 km on tarmac road. It has rather basic rooms but provides the needed break from the hustle and bustle of city. It is quiet and have an assortment of quad bikes and a play area which could be fun for kids and a pool. Has a great potential if the...

Love this place. One of the most beautiful spots on the planet, in my humble opinion. But you really need to remember where you are at. You are in the middle of the "bush". As nice as it is for the area, it is rustic compared to nice hotels/condos in Nairobi or other large cities in the region. But I...

We stopped at the lodge for lunch as it is located right on the highway, off 300 m. The compound is pleasant and the rooms not to bad, all also very reasonably priced. Lunch was great, fresh and inexpensive. Good place to break the trip. Not sure though what's Mara and Eco about the lodge.
