Located two hours from Vancouver via BC Ferries from Horseshoe Bay and Highway 1, the Resort is also accessible by seaplane. Featuring 31 west-coast inspired, 2-bedroom/two bath villas (many with lofts) on the oceanfront, each villa is complete with a large, fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, patio and barbecue. All villas have waterfront views. Designated dog friendly villas are available, and need to be booked by calling the resort direct. Painted Boat Resort offers an infinity pool (open seasonally), hot tub, fitness center and on-site paddle board rentals (seasonally). My wife and I have been going to the Sunshine Coast for the past 3 years, but had stayed at a different resort. We decided, this time, to celebrate our 5th year anniversary on the Sunshine Coast at the Painted Boat Resort and Spa. We were very impressed with the resort and will definitely stay there again. The resort even recognized our anniversary with a card and a bottle of wine left on our door step.

all of the people that greeted us, and served us were friendly and welcoming and helpful. we ate at the hotel restaurant, which had just opened for the season with a new chef. The service the view, and the meal were incredible. I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent resort. The suite we stayed in, was very spacious with every possible convenience and luxury.

I wisked my husband away for a couple of days for his birthday through BC Ferries Vacations. Well worth it!! The resort was quiet due to the time of year which was a bonus. The suite was very clean and well-kept, not dated which bothers me about higher end resorts. Heated floors were nice, well-stocked kitchen and beautiful bathrooms. Beautiful view of an inlet in Pender Harbour. The deck and windows were also clean, the deck table and chairs were also wiped prior to our arrival! I love that! We spent most of our time out there soaking in the view. Will definitely go again!!

Resort location and view wonderful. Restaurant very pricey. Kitchen well appointed so most eating done in condo. Would recommend going in summer when most restaurants in area are open. Overall a great resort.

Pleasantly surprised by the spacious room and beautiful view! Pet friendly suites available upon request for your furry family members so make sure to call ahead to check availability! We spent a lot of time on the patio (even tho it was cold!) to enjoy the view and make use of the BBQ. During our stay, the spa garden was only available to individuals who booked a treatment at the spa. A little disappointed we couldn't get an RMT appointment during our weekend getaway and missed this part of the resort/spa experience. Overall, we had a lovely and relaxing stay! Would recommend to all friends and family looking for a quiet weekend.

We stayed there in April. The resort was easy to find with plenty of signage along the way from Gibsons ferry terminal. There is plenty of hikes around (walking distance and short drive) if you want to stay active or you can just relax in the resort enjoying the view of the bay whether from your villa or the pool/hot tub or treat yourself to the SPA on the premises. The resort is conveniently located within 5 min walking distance from Madeira Park shopping plaza for your grocery/liquor/local gifts needs.

Beautiful resort,all villas are great we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom with loft great water view and lucked out as weather couldn't have been better.Never having been to Sunshine Coast was a good homebase where we went to all little area's from Gibson to Sechelt to Egmont and back.Restuarant just opened for season the day we arrived.Didn't use spa as hubby not into that but would recommend this place for a girls weekend or mid week escape .The villa's all have full kitchens ,laundry,and the beds are very very comfy.Will return again but with girlfriends to try out the spa features.

Great place to get away and relax with a spa visit. Beautiful setting and very quiet. Unfortunately were not able to check out the restaurant as was closed for the season. Rooms are huge and nicely appointed.
