We come here every year, and consider is a favourite spot to stay in the area. This year there is a new manager, and while we missed the previous person, we were happy to find the new manager very friendly and accommodating. Our favourite room is one of the executive chalets, and it had everything you need for a wonderful getaway.
Friendly staff introduced us to the resort facility and nearby restaurants. Clean and comfortable resort hotel. Our room was not that sound proof, we can hear neigbour walking and coughing in their room. Many hiking trails and restaurants nearby.
This is a very nice spot for a 2 day get away. Our suite included separate king bedroom, full kitchen and a balcony that overlooked a local marina. The resort is located close to all town amenities and easy driving distance to many walking and hiking locations. Resort Manager provided excellent care. Suite is somewhat dated but is well maintained and all aspects cleaned and cared for. Only real minus was a spotty WIFI reception which the Resort advised was due to their internet provider. Not a big issue for a casual guest with other interests but could be one for guest reliance. There is a hot tub but it is located a fair distance from suites requiring navigation of a several flights of external stairs. Overall an enjoyable and peaceful stay.
I was a little concerned because of some of the reviews of it being unclean, but our experience was the opposite! It was clean, well cared for and the view was beautiful. We stayed in the two bedroom unit, which was perfect. The beds were comfy, the rooms were cozy not cluttered, and the patio had lots of seats to choose from. We came with my dog and it was a perfect set up for her. The hot tub area was lovely with lots of seating. My only complaint is that there needs to be a sign to the hot tub and maybe some more lights for the nighttime. Otherwise, it was great, and I will absolutely stay again!
We had to move accommodation due to no heating and just turned up here, what a warm welcome. The view from our room was lovely, we got great local advice for walks and the bed was super comfortable. The kitchen area is basic but has all you need for a couple of nights and was clean. Big fridge, dishwasher and cooking equipment. Nice coffee machine as well.
My partner and I had an amazing stay over New Year's Eve this year. Due to heavy snow, we weren't able to explore beyond our cottage (#220), but were so happy with where we were. The cottage hottub is in an amazing location, and is tended to daily. We unfortunately had to leave a day early due to an impending winter storm, but the Resort was gracious enough to let us stay until our 530PM ferry, and didn't charge us for the extra day. We will definitely be back!
This resort is fantastic. The beds and pillows are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. The grocery store is a 15 minute walk. We found the staff very accommodating. The hot tub has a wonderful view of the bay The locals are friendly and helped us find a different hiking trail every day we were here. There is lots of parking too. We will definitely be back.
The resort is 60 KM north of Gibsons in Madeira Park , very quiet and peaceful , ( Winter Seasons ) we stay in one bed room superior suite with the kitchenette , great views over looking Garden Bay and the mountains , the room much larger and beautiful than the standard room , I all way say to people you pay what you get ! you know your budget , do not set your expectations too high , so be happy , very clean spacious , comfy bedding , bathroom are well stock with towels , it is great way to rejuvenate , also if you stay 3 nights the 4 nights is free , Girl friend love it , she is a City Girl , working 12 hours a day with hustle and bustle in Asian, for some it is too quiet here special the winter seasons ! we love the quiet and peaceful surrounding we have not seen each others over 2 years , lot of catch up to do , it is not your 4 stars resort , but clean and magnificent views , also price not expensive at all ! it is great place for family special in the Summer , I don't mind coming back here by myself !…
Very pretty setting but the room was not fit to stay in. The window leaked quite badly and must have been for some time with black mold growing in the carpet. There were lots of fruit flies and the toilet was not cleaned very well. We left before our stay was supposed to end because it wasn't worth spending any more time here.
Such a peaceful setting. Waking up on a sunny morning with Pender Harbour spread out below us was wonderful. We had a corner penthouse suite, and it had everything we needed. It was a short but hilly walk down the waterfront and back, and the Grasshopper Pub was either a short drive of a bit of an uphill hike away. Ralph was very helpful with advice, recommendations and arrangements. We’re glad we made the booking awhile in advance - it was busy!
