Lesley and her dog, Penny, were just incredible hosts. The room was gorgeous, the breakfast was just adorable and delicious. I'd love to come back and spend more time! It's a must stay on the sunshine coast!
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in May. We were looking for a b&b within easy reach of the Snookumchuk Rapids and Princess Louisa Inlet Boat Tour from Egmont as well as the Ferry Terminal in Earls Cove. Sunshine Villa is an easy 25 minute drive away. This southwest hacienda style b&b situated on expansive acreage with views of the Georgia Strait was just the place. Leslie welcomed us to her gorgeous home . We stayed in the Elk Room on the 2nd floor. Leslie has not spared the attention to detail with design and amenities. We highly recommend this property. It is as close to perfection as you will find. For a traditional Italian restaurant we recommend Ruby Lake Resort just a 15 minute drive north.
Leslie was so friendly and accommodating for our one night stay on our way ro Powell River and Desolation Sound. Her home is spacious and comfortable as was our room. We had use of common areas on two levels, hot tub and enjoyed a nice breakfast before departing. The scenery and recreational opportunities in this area are second to none.
WOW, I don't know where to start. We decided to take a quick overnight trip to the Sunshine Coast and stumbled upon Sunshine Villa B & B when looking for a place to lay our heads. Lesley and Alex were amazing from the first email interactions to phone calls, to check in, service and check-out. The villa is spacious and very well appointed. Beds and pillows top notch and comfortable and each room had several (yes more than one) luggage racks to accommodate all our stuff. We didn't get to see the master bedroom with en-suite as it was occupied but I’m certain it was as comfortable as the rooms we had; in fact, I saw the other guests enjoying the large balcony at the front of their suite. We made ourselves at home in the sitting room and when we were ready, had a snack and played games at the small table in the corner. In fact, they had an old school stereo system that I knew how to use!! The decor was subtle, homey and relaxing. The continental breakfast had such a selection. Bread, bagels, English muffins, pastry, 10 different cereals (yes, almost all of them we healthy) yogurt, juice but best of all, the selection of jams and honey from their own community. Finally, a wide array of teas and coffee to round it all off. At this price you would reserve all 4 rooms and take the whole family or a group of friends and experience a home away from home. Hurry up, call Lesley today and make Sunshine Villa B & B part of your Sunshine Coast getaway.…
We drove into Madeira Park late at night looking to crash for the night. I called Sunshine Villa and the loveliest, friendliest woman helped me and offered us a room. We arrived late, but were lucky to have the place to ourselves. Alex, the kind host, set us up in the CUTEST raccoon themed room, set up the fire place for us, made us hot tea right away: what a welcome! The next day Alex greeted us with a wonderful breakfast after our rainy, early morning hike. Fresh baked pastries out of the oven, large massive selection of HOME MADE jams, great coffee... Oh and the house is stunning, so nice, all the amenities, hot tub outside on a gorgeous patio... I can't even tell you how beautiful, well organize, clean and nice this place is. We really REALLY loved it there.
I was looking for a place to spend the night in Pender Harbour while introducing a visitor from Ontario to the beauties of the Sunshine Coast. For whatever reason, Sunshine Villa B&B wasn't showing in my search results. We had almost booked a different place when a final search of the Sunshine Coast Tourism website took us to this gem. The villa is a work of art (architecturally and in terms of the decorations in the animal-themed rooms), the beds are super comfortable, the hot tub came in really handy after a day on the trails, and breakfast was nothing short of sumptuous. With so many books on local topics tucked away in nooks and crannies around the house, it's a shame we only spent one night here. I will definitely be back and hope TripAdvisor and other websites do a better job of advertising this place. Thank you Alex for the hospitality!…
My family and I recently spent a weekend at Sunshine Villa B&B in Madeira Park and were thoroughly pleased with our experience. The house is spacious, extremely well maintained and very comfortable. The bedrooms are large and the linens of top quality. There was even firm pillows and soft pillows to allow each of us to enjoy our sleep. All the little extras, such as robes, outdoor slippers to go back and forth from the hot tub, coupled with the quiet and secluded location combined to make this a great place to get away from the bustle of the city. We will definitely be returning here.
It was spotless, the house and the room. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. They had thought of everything, robes and slippers for the hot tub, good shampoo and conditioner, a selection of teas... it really felt like a retreat. The view was amazing too. One of the best bits was the double shower. Great for a romantic night away.
My wife and I went to Sunshine Villa B&B for 2 nights in the middle of the week in early December. We had our dog Dixie with us and booked into the Elk room with a king bed and bathroom en suite. It was the quiet time of the year so we were the only people there and had the full use of the whole house (although we were fully occupied with trail walks and dinning out and didn't have much time to enjoy it). The place was tastefully decorated, clean, very comfortable and a lot of attention to details. Lori, the host, was extremely friendly and took really good care of us, fed us very good breakfast. Certainly one of our best getaway. We will definitely go back and may even take our family and friends with us to fill up the other 3 bedrooms.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sunshine Villa. Leslie was flexible, welcoming and very hospitable. We felt so at home in her beautiful Spanish-style villa (decorated very modernly and BC-inspired inside) which overlooked Pender Harbour and her vineyard. Leslie served us tea and biscuits on our arrival and allowed us to use her kitchen to cook the food we'd brought along. There was a guest fridge to store our perishables. Leslie was very friendly and helpful with tips about our stay in information and gave us plenty of space to enjoy our time together as well. We enjoyed the breakfast prepared for us and nightly made good use of the hot tub and Netflix on the TV. It was honestly the nicest experience either of us had ever had at any accomodation and I have been recommending it to people since our enjoyable stay. We continue to be astonished at the very affordable rate of our stay. I would love to stay again.…
