Horrid food. Lovely views and roomy pub. Drink the beer but don’t eat there. We had the special - ribs with baked potato. Here’s what they gave us: baked potatoes that were underdone and had a texture like they had been microwaved. The ribs had been boiled and then slathered with a bbq sauce, and they were barely warm so very precooked. The salad would have been okay except their ‘signature’ raspberry dressing was inedible.

We had booked a night's stay at the Pender Harbour Hotel and it was fantastic. The lady at check in was super friendly and talkative. She told us to have a look out on the patio of the restaurant and while we were taking in the beautiful view, one of the staff from the restaurant came over and wanted to give us a menu to take to our room to look over. She was again super friendly. We did have our dinner in "The Grasshopper Pub" and it was great. Our waitress was super nice and friendly and she told us about the area. It was a great stay and we will definitely stay there again if we are in the area. It was close enough to the Earl's Cove ferry terminal so that we could catch the first ferry the next morning. We had a lovely room with a balcony that overlooked the patio of the restaurant and all the boats in the harbour. It was overcast so we didn't get a good sunset but we were told that it is beautiful.

Here for a wedding at a nearby Venue. Rooms were clean and comfortable bed. Loved the balcony. Pub downstairs Perfect. Rooms have no freezer in fridge. So be prepared to buy your ice and have a cooler

Had dinner on the bar patio. Spectacular view on a clear day. Fish chowder was fantastic,(best ever), order of mussels not so much. Mussels from Chile, 6 didn't open. Shouldn't have been served. No better view of harbour.

I stayed in a harbour view room with my husband on a Monday evening in June. Here are the problems of the hotel: 1. Bath tub drain is clogged. Water is 3 inches deep after taking shower and took 10 minutes to drain; 2. Water flow in the bathroom faucet is very slow; 3. No air-conditioning. Too warm to sleep. Only fans available; 4. The bed is too soft and too warm makes me sweating during the night; 5. View of the room is nice but the window is too small with no bug screen;
