We stayed here on a previous occasion, as part of a Headwater tour. This time we DIY'd it with a couple of advantages, apart from cost obviously, including booking the hotel's full board "Moments for Hiking" deal which includes daily packed lunch; use of walking poles and day sacks, and a session at the hotel's Wellness Suite - though my... We stayed here a week and had a really wonderful time. We couldn't have wanted for better service and attention from the warm and helpful owners and staff. In fact we probably could have found out a lot more useful information if we'd asked more. The food was outstanding - expansive breakfasts and substantial and varied 4 course meals at... More

This 100+ year old family run hotel is just excellent, it's hard to think what they could do better. Lovely (junior suite) room with wonderful views. Exceptionally clean with helpful and caring staff. One small example, one night I helped myself to the oversized pepper grinder located at the salad table. Following night one appeared on my table. Someone had... More

Delight in the gourmet meals each night after a good day of hiking in the nearby mountain country. Evening meals were top class with four small, beautifully presented, tasty courses so that one did not feel too full. If staying six or seven nights, then there is a special gala dinner to enjoy also, where guests can meet before dinner... More

We spent a week here as part of a self-guided walking holiday organized by Exodus/Headwater. It was a wonderful choice. The room was excellent (we had upgraded to a junior suite), the bed was comfy, breakfasts were delicious, dinners were varied and beautifully done. The pool was underused, which was a bonus for us, since we often had it to... More

Our last week of a 5 week holiday - and walking in the Dolomites was fantastic - and to wake up each day and come back each afternoon to welcoming staff was wonderful. Also excellent massage staff and spa facilities - spa could have been a bit warmer tho. And apart from one young waiter who made it clear to... More

The hotel was clean and comfortable as one would expect, but my lasting impression is of the kindness and efficiency of the staff. They advised on food and wine, arranged trips, answered questions patiently and were friendly and funny. We asked about rosti, not realising we weren't in quite the right region, but at dinner the next night there were... More

A truly superb hotel. Staff are friendly, welcoming and so helpful. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. We paid extra for a junior suite, as did our friends. We had rooms 305 and 306. Both were very large with a separate lounge area. Fantastic view down the valley and mountains. Later in the year, it would be terrific sitting out on the... More

This family run hotel is a master class in customer service, nothing is too much trouble and the staff are excellent. We arrived late due to flight problems (we ended up having to take a train from Munich) but we were not rushed in spite of arriving at the end of dinner service. We were also collected from the station... More

We stayed here during a self-arranged walking holiday over the summer. What a fantastic all round experience - staff, room, food, location - everything. Our holiday was delayed due to illness but the Fuchs family did everything to accommodate us. The breakfast buffet, packed lunch for the hikes and the evening meal were all fantastic. And what a location....only writing... More
