This is the 4th time we've visited the Kenya coast. Last year we visited pinewood on Diani beach. This year chale. When we arrived we were a little surprised how far it was from the mainland. The tide was in so the boat took about 5 minutes to get across. A pleasant little trip.

If you look for a nice and quiet place at Diani Beach, the Sands is the place to be. We spend 4 nights there and enjoyed the last days of our Kenya vacation. We had a Banda with view to the sea! It was big enough for 2 persons! Unfortunately, there was a Problem with the wall

The reason I chose this property was based on the number of stars plus the high customer rating. I contend that the property is not worthy of a 4-star rating.... no room cooling facility between 10am and 5pm, not much sleep due to terribly uncomfortable mattress, no fridge, food

I should have known it was overpriced and under deliverying when I was given the glass off watered down orange juice. They will extract their pound of flesh before they give you the "Lecture" about what mainly are "not to do's" and what they don't provide you at the resort.

good morning from chale island to all the followers and reviewers we can not and we do not have any interesting reason to delete this comment, we actually find it hilarious, so we would prefer to respond to it - you booked a standard room in half board basis at the price of USD 270 per night for 3 people sharing the same room, feel free to approach us anytime at the reception to double check it - all our rooms are fully equipped with hot water, air condition, we have a power limitation during the day and this information is clearly written in our official web site and marketing outlet ad you can easily read in many of this platform reviews -regarding our NO if you mean that we do not allowed our guest to enter dinning room in wet bikini we confirm that it is NO possible, we do not have any dress code but we just need decency. -you can have any of your meal in your room paying room service surcharge - regarding our food we prefer not to comment at it. we leave it to all the other hundreds of the reviewers, readers and followers to make their own conclusion in conclusion we do not understand why you have to suffer the next 7 days with us, we are on an island but the mainland it is only at 400 meters from us and we provide transfers in and out 24/7 we wish you and all your family merry Xmas happy new years and especially peaceful days -

The prices are not bad compared to other places in Kenya. If you need detailed info, just send them an email and request the drink menus. We had a birthday there last time and pre-arranged. They are very helpful, so dont hesitate to contact the reception! Have fun!!

"Go for a Banda as they are on their own with a little garden. We stayed in Banda 2 which overlooked the lagoon."
"Banda with Beachview!"
"Go for the Banda rather than the hotel.. it's definitely worth the extra!"
"Would not choose the overwater version, penthouse is amazing and so are the chalets-depending on the location."
"Some of the Bandas had a small private front area with outside shower. Others are right on the walkway."
