We couldn’t choose any better than this . The hotel is located on the cliff ,the view from every angle is just breathtaking,La grotto is few steps away ,food was amaizingggg I am a really picky eater but I swear everything was soo delicious and lots of varieties(so you have what to choose from) The staff was amazing always there to help , especially George the receptionist.(thanks George☺️) We have bought a trip to anti paxos and paxos I really recommend ,also we rode the horses though the mountains which was an unforgettable experience. If one day we gonna decide to visit Corfu again no doubt this will be the place where we will stay . Thank you very much for everything you are amazing guys .
We booked a room with a pool and the views were amazing. There’s so many different thing to do outside of the hotel also. Quad biking. Lots of bars we visited every night! The staff in the bar hotel were friendly made very strong drinks even better! There’s a bar outside of the hotel with a diving board into the sea so beautiful! The food was good, something for everyone to eat, other restaurants near by also! Entertainment was very good too! Pools were so cold but it was October! We went as two couples and we met so many people at the hotel! Lots of English people. One thing is there is SOOO much uphill walking! It’s not all on one Level it is all up up and up. Getting quad bikes was the best thing ever, was able to travel up to the castle also and met a few of the older locals who lived in the mountains, locals are super friendly and amazing. Rooms were really spacious. Downstairs pool is a lot more lively than upstairs. Upstairs id say is for more quite relaxing times, downstairs they played music have a bar and they got little game tournament, just around the corner from the bar lots of ping pong and darts and it was very fun! So beautiful this whole area would definitely recommend visiting if your legs can handle it! If you’re staying in the hotel then the walks isn’t as bad but if you’re travelling outside be warned!…
Julie Dunn and family from leicestershire What a great week we had couldn’t fault this hotel the food was great lovely atmosphere fantastic friendly staff I came with my daughter son in law and 2 teenage grandchildren one of which has severe nut seeds and dairy allergies the chefs and staff in the restaurant we’re fantastic and he absolutely loved his first holiday abroad and stress free thank you so much to all the staff we loved every minute you all need a huge pat on the back we left very happy people love holidays need to be clear about the rooms they are advertising regarding plunge pool rooms but this has no reflection on the hotel itself well done xx
Nice week in Corfu. Decent hotel, lovely view from our room and beds comfortable enough. We hired a car and travelled about so didn't eat in every day but found food to be plentiful and varied enough. As someone else said, if you want wall to wall marble this hotel isn't for you. Nice enough but have definitely stayed in better 4 star hotels. Bottled water upon arrival would have been appreciated arriving in on a night flight. The top pool bar should remain open if guests are using that area. Pleasant enough stay for a week
Myself and my partner (young couple) stayed at this hotel in September 2022 as all inclusive guests. Room: We paid extra for a side sea view room. On arrival, we were told we had been upgraded to a see view room. However, although the view was very nice, we were located right next to the main stairwell of the hotel and could hear loud footsteps every time people went up or down the stairs during the night (it’s a metal staircase). The only word to describe the room itself would be ‘grotty’. The bathroom was full of cracked dirty tiles and badly needed regrouting and all of the fixtures were covered in rust and soap scum. The shower was also freezing cold and the towels were paper thin. It wasn’t very clean. There was a dead mosquito on the shower screen which remained there our entire stay so clearly the rooms were not cleaned. We also discovered there was no iron in the room. To be honest, it didn’t say on booking that there would be an iron provided in the room but I assumed, being a 4 star hotel, an iron would be provided in the room. My partner went to reception to ask for an iron and they gave him one but it was broken. It leaked out water and when we plugged it into the wall, sparks came out and it blew the electric in the room. This was so dangerous. After we had the iron for 10 minutes, a member of staff came barging into our room (without knocking!) and asked for the iron back as another guest needed it. How ridiculous over a broken iron! The tiny kettle provided in the room was full of limescale and didn’t boil very well. There was also no bottles of water in the room which I thought was shocking considering it is a 4 star hotel. The fridge and the air con in the room however was excellent. The pool: The main pool of the hotel is lovely. The only downside to the pool area was that near enough all of the sun beds were broken. We picked up loads before we actually found 2 that were not broken. There is also a a roof top pool and bar, although, even though the bar looked open, we were told we couldn’t get a drink there as it was not actually open because it was end of season do we were told to get a drink from the main indoor bar and walk 2 flights of stairs to bring it down to the pool!?. This was totally unacceptable, as when we arrived, we were told the pool bar would be open until 6pm everyday. Later on during our stay however, we saw people getting drinks from pool bar so we were really confused as to why the staff kept changing their minds as to whether the pool bars would be open or not. The entertainment: This aspect was actually quite hilarious - the entertainment was non existent. The in house entertainment team call themselves “the jumbo team” but in the entire week we was at the hotel, they did not provide one bit of entertainment. All they did every day was sit around on their phones or played table tennis amongst themselves. We couldn’t believe it. In the evenings there was nothing whatsoever. Again, the team would walk into the bar and get themselves a beer whilst everyone was sitting around bored. We found this to be totally unacceptable, particularly on one day when it was poring down with rain and the bar area was full of guests including children that were bored yet the entertainment team did nothing. There was only two nights during our entire stay that there was any entertainment and this was Greek dancing and a fire breather - which were really good, although this was outsourced and not provided by the Jumbo team. The food/restaurant: The food at the hotel was good. There was plenty of options and most of the dishes were very tasty. The only downside to the food was at breakfast where it seemed as though everything came out of a tin. There was no prepared fresh fruit - only tinned fruit and even the sausages for the cooked breakfast came out of a tin. On one occasion, we got our dinner and sat down at an empty table and started eating then the head waiter came over to us and said we have to move as the table was already taken. The table was not taken. It did not have a reserved sign on it, nor was anyone sitting there. The tables were on a first come first serve basis. We moved as we didn’t want it to spoil our evening and then an older couple quickly sat down at it. This was totally unacceptable and the waiter that moved us was not even apologetic about how rude he had been! Later, we saw that couple pay for their meal using a credit card so clearly the waiter prioritised paying guests (although technically, even though we were all inclusive we were still paying guests!). Unfortunately, this put a downer on our evening! Staff: The staff at reception are rude, ignorant and not very helpful and the bar staff are all so miserable. Overall, we found this hotel to be a let down. We are baffled as to how it is a 4 star hotel. We have stayed in 3 star hotels that are far better than this one. We had a lovely holiday but personally wouldn’t recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.…
Extremely disappointing. There is not a chance in hell this is four star. It’s grubby , tired and in dire need of a manager that can see issues. A simple walk around the hotel inside and out would immediately indicate any number of little things that would improve impressions. On arrival you walk up a set stained stairs . You enter the reception and your heart sinks . It’s depressing, dark and tatty. The room is smelly , there is black mould on walls and the floor. The towels are grey and threadbare. The door to the only hanging space hits the door closer and the other slams shut . There are no hangers . One spongy pillow. If your room is visited by housekeeping , your bed is made , coffee cups are left and you may get clean towels. The pool areas are just as uninviting as the rest of the hotel. The kids are hasn’t been swept for goodness knows how long and some sort of faeces is on the mats. The food is bland and totally predictable. Simple things like bowls and spoons , salt and pepper grinders are often missing. The lifts are small , too small for more than one person and luggage. One that leads to the top floor pool has been spat on . The main bar just smells, sweat , smoke . I guess if you are just looking to maximise income and minimise expense this place is right up there. The upside was some of the staff were pleasant and the nearby Akron Beach bar and restaurant which offered some respite from the grime , with the only decent menu and drink . I would strongly advise against the Paleo Nouveau . I would recommend the hotel invest in some brooms and resist the urge for porters to use the main entrance to stock bars and kitchens .…
Me and my partner spent 9 nights here and a had a lovely stay. All the staff were very friendly and we had everything we needed. Before our stay i read that air conditioning and the safe was extra charge however when we went the air conditioning wasn’t an extra charge and we paid a €10 deposit for the safe which we got back at the end of the week. We stayed on the 5th floor and had a sea view - the view was AMAZING - definitely the best thing about the room. There was also a fridge in the room. The towels and bedding was replaced everyday. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is due to the cleanliness, i feel the room couldve been a lot cleaner due to a lot of built up dust, and the hotel in general is very shabby and could do with an upgrade however this didnt bother us too much personally hence why we still had a lovely stay. We stayed bed and breakfast and there was always plenty of choice and different things everyday.…
The hotel was very nice, the staff were very friendly. The food was very well presented and plenty of variety, from cereal/cooked breakfast / yougart and fruit for breakfast. To at least 3 different dishes and a large salad bar which you help your self to for lunch And soup and other starters and at least 3 main meals and the salad bar again for evening meal. A good variety of cakes and sweets for dinner and evening meals, There are 3 bars... A lower pool bar open from 10am-6pm A upper pool bar (on the roof of the hotel) open from 10am-6pm And a inner main bar open 6pm-2am(11 pm all inclusive ends) All inclusive drinks are all the basic largers/wines/spirits/soft drinks/tea coffee.. No cocktails included but can be purchased at half price. The entertainment was run by club jumbo And consisted of aqua exercisers and games like darts and beer ping and French bowls in the day for at least 6 hours a day.... And a main event at 930pm like a fire show or a disco or karaoke or something like that. The hotel it self has lots and lots of steps to climb (or a hill) to walk around to get to the main entrance And when I say lots I mean it's not really for people not very fit or not so good with walking around un aided. The rooms are regularly cleaned and have air conditioning... Only bit we didn't like was having to use a bin for disposal of toilet paper after using it.... The hotel is about 20 mins walk from a decent beach and about 1 1/2 from the airport. All in all its was a very good holiday and to stay here I would recommend but only if you don't mind the steps.…
Having read the reviews we were excited to visit this hotel but sadly we were very disappointed. Although the staff were friendly and very helpful we found the hotel tired and lacking in 4* quality. There was plenty of choice of warm food but never hot. We would not recommend this hotel.
The view from our sea view 5th floor room was incredible both by day and at night - helped by a spectacular thunder storm one evening - and was easlily the best view from anywhere I have ever stayed. The room was basic but very clean and the only gripe was that the air-con was next to useless, being more a fan than a chiller. That's the only reason I don't give the hotel 5 stars. The Location is great for La Grotta and Agia Triada, which was our favourite of the several beaches in Paleo, with its great food, boat hire, lounger hire (expensive at 35-45 euros) and even a diving centre. Nearby are numerous lovely bars and restaurants, all within a quick walk from the hotel. The breakfast was good, with a large range of items on offer, and although we did not choose to have an family evening meal there (there were so many other options) the buffet we saw was huge. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, and even allowed us to store our bags for the best part of a day to enable us to enjoy further time in the village before a very late night flight out. There is even a small shop on site, selling everything from snacks and drinks, to snorkels and sun cream. Very useful and welcome. There are various entertainments laid on at the hotel through the week, if you are into those things, ranging from aqua-aerobics to karaoke, although the best entertainment by far was watching large coaches navigating the hair-pin bends below the room within a sea of scooters, cars and people - hilarious at times. All in all we loved our stay, and only wish it had been for longer. I would definitely consider going again.…
