A lovely hotel situated in an Olive grove just below the village of Palekastro on the north eastern coast of Crete. A hire car is really needed to get here as Taxi transfers from the airport (Heraklion) are expensive and the surrounding country side is well worth visiting. The hotel is comfortable and clean the owners very help full. It is...

I found this place in Google Maps while researching Palaikastro. It is run by two brothers and a feisty chihuahua named Dominikos. The place was clean, well appointed, free wifi and breakfast included. It was so relaxing and quiet and located in the middle of an Olive grove. At night millions of stars blanket the sky. Not far from the...

Lovely little hidden treasure, with unspoilt surroundings. The rooms were lovely & clean, lovely little pool & fantastic buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. It was lovely to meet Aristides & his brother!

This haven away from tourist Crete is run by the charming Antoni Relakis and his sons Yorgos and Aristides. Although the buildings are a bit "blocky" it is in a nice setting and has a good pool. The rooms are adequate, but we found the beds very uncomfortable and the air conditional fairly ineffective. They probably would have sorted both...

Marina Village is a set of lovely little apartments, hidden away in an olive grove. It feels very private and secluded, but in actual fact both the Village of Palaikastro and the beach are only a fifteen minute walk away. There’s a nice outdoor swimming pool (though in October it was a bit chilly) and even a tennis court –...

Flowers, butterflies, chirrups, olive trees, tranquil, peaceful, great pool, breakfast buffet, clean rooms, good beds, very, very friendly staff, close to several, stunning beaches and to the village Palekastro where you find shops, an ATM and good, affordable restaurants. Would recommend highly!

It is no accident that many of the guests here have been coming for year after year. You might choose this hotel as the only one with a sizeable swimming pool in Palekastro but people come back time and again because the hotel staff are so friendly and enthusiastic. The surrounding area is of outstanding cultural importance both archaeologically speaking...

We spent one week here and the hotel is the essence of the real greece. The hotel was peaceful, convenient to local sites and beaches( Itanos beach was our favorite.) The owners couldn't have been more helpful, even to the point of changing our flat tire AND dealing with our local car rental company to make sure we didn't have to...

The Rough Guide describes the Hotel Marina Village as a haven amidst olive groves. That's it exactly: so peaceful, surrounded by its own lovely garden and by many acres of olives. The hotel itself consists of several small blocks of extremely well maintained and modern rooms - astonishingly good value (I think we paid something like 45 euros a night)....
