Hubby and myself travelled from Scotland, my sister and friend from Germany. We met at the Cartshed for a holiday together. Great that we all had our bedroom with own bathroom. No queues for the shower etc! What a fantastic welcome we got. Apart from our lovely hosts there was a fantastic cake in the fridge plus some yummy bubbly...

We booked the one of their 2 converted barns for our family break this easter. The hosts were brilliant! Homemade cake, bottle of bubbles and a bag of chocolate eggs when we arrived. The house came with everything we needed and thensome! Would happily stay here again in a heartbeat!

We have been travelling to various holiday houses in the borders/Northumberland for a few years and the Grindon Cartshed is the best yet. The cottage is warm and cosy and views from the living room are fantastic. We brought lots of reading to do but ended up just looking at the view most of the time. The cottage is well...

Booked Grindon Farm based on needing accessible accommodation in the Northumberland area. This was further inland than we have ventured before but we would definitely go back. The owner couldn't have been more welcoming and gave good advice about the local area and attractions. The accommodation does all it needs to with level access throughout and two wet rooms one...

We stayed here for a week and it was really lovely. Our family consists of me (disabled with limited mobility), my husband and our two children (7&3). The owners worked really hard to make sure everything was ok for us. This even went to having a shower chair for me which was a brilliant help as the washrooms are both...

The Cartshed was so warm and cosy and the perfect place to come into after embracing the wet Northumbrian weather. It was the perfect size for our needs and the views of the countryside (when cleared of fog) were exquisite and thoroughly relaxing. We spent many mornings watching the sheep on the farm or chattering away to the chickens who...

This is a well-converted farm-building with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.the owners were very welcoming: even ensuring there was a stairgate (we took a puppy). Waking up to the chickens, sheep and donkeys was a delight and the location means it is an easy walk to Hadrian's Wall. Thank you Jackie and David for a lovely relaxing holiday!

Immaculate and comfortable this cosy Cartshed has lovely views. Those with limited mobility will find this suitable, we managed to bypass steps to bedrooms by whizzing out the front door round to the back by wheelchair.

Grindon Farm is THE ideal spot for visiting not only Hadrian's Wall but the whole of Northumberland. Within the National Park exactly half way between the East and West coast and only a mile south (for a walker!) of the Wall at Housesteads. Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Durham, Kielder (for Dark Skies!) - the list of amazing places to visit is endless....

“Beautiful B&B as mentioned in review - possibly ask if 'wet room' fan/shower has been adjusted? - Sorry, not sure of room number. Could very well not be an issue for someone else...its just that we are bathroom junkies!”
