Last minute change of hotels resulted in a night at the domaine which looked promising on the website. Rooms could do with an uplift and especially in pandemic times, would make sense to place guests with possibility to dine in their room at a table and not just one chair and a vanity desk for the purpose when too cold to eat outdoors. For a meal of a two charcuteries, burger, wok (minus any noodles) just hot vegetables, and no wine or drinks for a total of 68 euros, it is taking people for a ride. Please see photos and you will see packaging size of McDonald's and for 14 euros each for charcuterie, with a few slices, it's really not fair. Furthermore, we called to order from the road and were only given an option of three starters (sardines, soup or charcuterie) and mains (vegetable wok or burger) while when we arrived at the hotel, the menu was much more substantial. We were given a time to collect and arriving at hotel called to ask if at all possible to have it earlier and was told yes. Yet when we came to pick up at the time they said to, it was not even ready. A total let down. Plus for the price...

Very severe comment. You could have rented a lodge with kitchen, you preferred a room, it is your choice. In addition, normally we must order in advance and we accepted to please you the last minute.

This is a very well located hotel with a reasonable restaurant attached. The rooms are quite spacious but the decor is drab and needs a little updating. Reception staff polite if not over friendly. I would definitely look for an alternative place to stay next time

About the hot water, it’s totally not enough to take a shower for two people. Call them, they said they’re going to check, and after that, never call us back. What kind of check it is??? I just want a comfortable hot shower after one day! And all I got a cold cold cold shower and being shake in the bathroom at all. It’s very disappointed. When we’re going to check out. We ask the front desk again about yesterday night situation Turns out, nobody come to check!!!! Without any discount , compensation or something , just sorry and that’s all😢 If you’re trying to book this hotel, I’m so sorry that this is definitely not a four star hotel!! Sincerely,

For this otherwise good hotel (good being 3.5 dots)ideally set in amongst the pine trees with the cicadas in fine voice. Disappointing to learn on arrival that the Spa was an additional €22 pp/ day so we went to the hotel pool to cool down having cycled 70km. Checked in by friendly enough staff the room was disappointing- finishes were cheap as was the terrace furniture and the bed was not up to 4* standard. The hotel pool was good but the external space too small, not enough shade and again the sun loungers were poor quality. Later in the evening we had a drink in the bar and dinner in the restaurant and very much enjoyed both. Steak & chips for me after home made spring rolls. The red wine & onion sauce for the steak was outstanding. I doubt I’ll return.

Just home from a wonderful visit to Cap Ferret staying at Domaine Du Ferret Hotel with my two daughters. The accommodation was excellent, clean and very well equipped. The decor was very nice too. We were situated near the main reception, bar and pool. We swam every morning, (pool a little small but ideal for us). The staff at reception and cleaning staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. Although we didn’t eat in the restaurant we had drinks in the bar beside it. Lovely relaxing environment. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Only complaint......It would have been better to have another arm chair as there was only room for two on the couch and there were three of us. There are plenty of shops supermarkets restaurants. Bike hire and beaches nearby. We will definitely be back. it’s only 50 minute drive from Bordeaux airport.
