We stayed here for 3 nights in the Bridal suite on a deal. Distant view of the coast and both the room and bathroom were enormous. Bathroom very modern and stylish but no plugs for the sinks; nowhere for toiletries near the free standing bath or to put towels by the shower or the sinks. A touch of style over substance. Room had 2 full sized settees and 2 TVs. Root top lounge had nice views and lovely to sit out. We ate in the restaurant for 2 night which has limited vegetarian options but they easily made something off menu for my other half. Staff all excellent and very friendly - but they could probably do with some more especially at breakfast, but all hospitality is suffering at the moment. Special should out to Jason in the restaurant who was excellent.

This was our second stay at the Stradey. The staff here are exceptional, very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t do enough for us. We paid a bit extra for a luxury room, nice large clean room, plenty of tea, coffee and bottles of water replenished each day. Breakfast is very good and a selection of options both hot and cold. One evening we ate in the hotel restaurant, we were very impressed with the food and its presentation. The two young gentlemen working in the restaurant/bar are a credit to the hotel, so obliging and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. I cannot praise the staff here enough, nothing is too much trouble and they go above and beyond to provide a good service. Really enhances your stay.

My 21 year old son and I stayed here for 3days as a base for a few rounds of golf. Our twin room, without being inspiring, was perfectly adequate and clean. Slightly odd that there were no glasses or plastic cups in the room and that there was no toilet roll holder in the bathroom but no big deal. We had dinner on our first night which was disappointing and resulted in us eating elsewhere for the rest of our stay. Whilst the food was adequate, the menu was severely restricted and very overpriced. There just appeared to be no flair or pizzazz with any of the dishes. £18.95 for bland cod goujons and chips does not represent value for money. On the second day of our stay we returned from golf at 4pm and decided to enjoy a glass of wine outside in the sun. We were bemused to be told that there was nobody able to serve us and that therefore the bar would not be open until 6pm. All the staff we encountered were lovely and working hard but seemed to be overworked. The delightful two ladies at breakfast on our last day were trying to seat people, prepare hot drinks, serve the cold buffet, serve the hot buffet and clear tables all at once with no additional help.

Visited Stradey Park hotel with my wife for a night away and a day spent in their onsite spa. Hotel has made lots of efforts to comply with COVID-19 measures and all staff and guest seemed to be following the guidelines in regard to face coverings and social distancing. Room was basic but clean and tidy with tea, coffee and bottled water in our room. Bed was larger than expected and very comfortable. We were offered a free late check out as we were using the Spa the following day. Service from most of the staff was great and reception was very helpful offering directions to nearby sites. We ate in the onsite restaurant and had a very nice meal, actually better than I initially thought we would receive based on the service from our waiter who was stressed and very defensive. Sadly there were only 2 young waiters for the bar and restaurant and they were clearly struggling. This lead our waiter to be rude when asked questions about the food and drinks menu including the times of the meal. Our starter arrived within 2 mins of it being ordered and when we asked if our main could be brought 15 mins after our starter had been cleared to allowing time for the food to settle we were given a most unwelcoming response. Breakfast was a similar affair. We waiting 10 mins to be seated and when seated were offered an apology for the delay from a very busy waitress explaining she was the only person serving food, clearing tables and seating guests. We were told to find any seat in the restaurant providing it was a clean table! Breakfast tasted OK but looked tired and had been sat under the warming lights for a little too long for my liking. The Spa was lovely and our treatments were excellent. Sadly little things also spoiled an almost perfect setting with the jets on the tropical showers not working, resulting in maintenance being called and the complimentary coffee machine not working. Things I thought would have been checked during the opening of the spa that morning! Seems this hotel is eager to please after such a period of lock down however they clearly need more staff to maintain a decent level of service. I addressed these issues when checking out and was told by a helpful reception staff member to wait for a manager. She returned somewhat embarrassed and told us the manager was busy on the phone and unable to speak to me and offered an email address to give my feedback.
