I have been coming to the gardens for a few years now which are a real pleasure. However our lunch experience was truly awful. My friend asked if we needed to book a table before our walk. The woman could hardly be bothered to answer the questions and was quite surly.Nothing improved when we retuned for some lunch.the staff really could not be...

We arrived in the evening of a very warm day (25th May), and even though the building work mentioned in a lot of reviews was very evident, the interior of our room on the 1st floor of the Cedar Wing was spotless, comfy, well-appointed and had a stunning view from the balcony. We ate in the Bistro - the quality...

We arrived on a glorious hot sunny day after a visit to Arduaine Gardens and were welcomed by really pleasant staff. The restaurant has tables outside which were mostly occupied, but having noticed people waving their hands about, we realised the famous midge was out in force so opted to sit indoors. Our food was most enjoyable spoiled only my...

Everything about this stay was comfortable. Check in & check out was simple and quick Our room was large and warm and even though renovations were ongoing around the rooms, we were not affected. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed a good nights rest. Lovely view over the lake

It would be tempting to rely on the fabulous views from the rooms, restaurant and public areas to attract visitors. In a competitive market though something else is required to attract new and returning guests. The Loch Melfort does to a certain extent fulfill this. Apart from the wonderful location and cosy public areas the plus points are the staff...

I had the addition of wonderful weather over three days. I am disabled and had called the hotel beforehand to advise them. They had allocated a disabled room which was very suitable but sadly at back of hotel and no view which at this hotel is wonderful. The hotel is very comfortable. The food is exceptional, beautifully cooked and well...

Had a lovely lunch sitting outside on a beautiful day with the most amazing view over the loch . The bistro adjoins arduaine gardens which are well worth a visit. We just had sandwiches which were very good and well presented. On a lovely sunny day you couldn't find a better location .

This hotel has an outstanding location as the view over the bay is just top notch which makes dining in the restaurant or bistro an unforgettable experience but something has happened in the kitchen. The food is not a celebration of locally sourced food cooked magnificently. The dishes are all something that we might dish up at home, salmon, sea...

Located South of Oban on the Shores of Loch Melfort the Hotel and its grounds stretch down to the shoreline. Beautiful location and relaxing hotel space. The rooms open up onto a view of the loch and highland cattle .. ask for a ground level room if you want to walk out from your room onto the grass down to...

We were advised the place was undergoing refurbishment and it wouldn't look good on the front. I honestly can't fault the hotel for anything! The room was lovely with a sea view which was stunning in the morning and evening. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The tea and tea cakes were welcomed and hot...
