We stayed here for 3 nights over Easter and had a fabulous time. The rooms are beautiful with an excellent view, and the breakfast is amazing. The staff are all lovely and very accommodating! The hotel is currently going through a refurb and on the last night we received a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful suite! We will definitely be...

Travelled here with my daughter and dog for a bit of a break from the routine during the Easter holidays. Starting with the good stuff... The location, view from hotel and food is amazing. I could have enjoyed the view for hours and I found the food great. Staff in the main were friendly particularly in the Bistro. But there...

We've just returned from a lovely couple of nights stay @ Loch Melfort hotel. Lovely room despite the ongoing rebuilding work going on outside! Very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom, etc. No problems with the water supply - lovely and hot if you allow it time to warm up - although I did find the shower very feeble and unable to...

While working in the local area we stayed at the Loch Melfort and weren't disappointed. On arrival it was obvious that renovations were being carried out but this didn't affect the rooms with excellent views, the warm welcome, the quality of the food.(which you can still order quite late in the evenng) or the friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

My partner and I stayed here for one night last week and had a lovely time. We stayed in one of the Cedar Wing Rooms which has a balcony and spectacular views over the Sea Loch. The room was well equipped with complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and Tunnocks Tea Cakes which were well received! The bed was comfy, shower...

Smell of must, uncomfortable twanging bed, shabby linen, old furniture, dated bathroom with awful shower, no hot water for 15 mins as it takes time to run through pipes. Private water supply notice on bathroom door recommends that you drink cooled boiled water if elderly, infirm or a child (but no bottled water supplied in room) dirty, old carpet. Limited heating...

Best view (from a hotel room) in Scotland. Delightful lounges. Very fine cuisine 3 nights running. Some minor irritants like serving sherry in a brandy glass. Very nice staff, very attentive, This is not a cheap hotel and so the bedroom was very disappointing. The bedroom furniture was IKEA standard and there were no pictures on the wall. There were...

We stayed two nights on a Groupon deal. Our room was excellent, well equipped with quality fixtures and fittings, it's own walk out patio and, of course, brilliant sea views. First minor irritation was the tv which, due to the wild weather, kept cutting out. Andy did his best to fix it and admitted it was the cable affected by...

Stayed 3 nights in Cedars the first thing that strikes you is the major refurbishment of facade. The builders and ongoing work did not disturb us, although it looks like a building site. The views, staff and website are superb but the annex (cedars) is very tired, rooms are very dated and smelt musty. Bedding very tired it may be...
