All I can say is make sure you visit/stay at the Rams Head Inn, from the moment you enter you get a good feeling the rooms are spotless and the beds are very comfortable the bar area is great with lots of locals happy to have a chat but the best experience is the food. I stay away a lot...

We have never put a review on TripAdvisor before but felt compelled to do so, so here goes. We had just cycled the Tarka Trail. During the last hour of our ride the heavens opened and so we arrived at this inn absolutely soaking wet through, looking like drowned rats! Regardless of this we were given an extremely warm welcome,...

As this is our "local" my wife and I decided to hold our wedding reception there. The 100 guests, including the 26 staying for the weekend, were all treated to the best, friendliest and most attentive service we could have wished for. The "Devon high tea" served was absolutely perfect for the occasion. The evening party for 150 was just...

We thought the room and en-suite were a little small but fine for the one night we stayed. Everything was very clean and the staff very friendly and efficient. Thoroughly recommend a G&T (the "Bathtub" gin is lovely) in the secret garden; that was fab....especially as the sun was shining ! Breakfast was relaxed and food excellent.

The ever-popular Bathtub gin has been a favourite for most of our gin drinkers. Thrilled to read you sampled it too.....and more importantly enjoyed!

We were very impressed with the Rams Head, we enjoyed our mid-week dinner so much that we went back a few weeks later for Sunday lunch. Both visits were excellent - superb food and helpful, friendly staff. Having mostly lived in the home counties with it's incessant rush for profits - we had forgotten that good service; where staff take...

A great English country hotel & PUB. The welcome from the staff and locals were great. Do try the cornbeef hash it's a great forgotten English dish with new life. The belly of pork is expertly cooked and I hope these are on the menu when you try this lovingly restored village pub.

The place has been restored, and looks great; well we think so. Pork belly has changed slightly, still getting great feedback for it. Do come and see us again soon.

From the moment we walked through the door we felt really looked after at this lovely pub, restaurant and BandB Simon and Darren were so friendly and welcoming.
