Family and friends celebrated Dave's 90th birthday this weekend. We took over this small Victorian Hotel in Congleton which is wonderful. We were the first party to use the new lounge after the refurbishment which is stunning. The food was excellent, bedrooms very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Thank you so much Andy, Mark and...

We are frequent visitors to Congleton, however our usual hotel could not accommodate us at short notice... what a bit of luck, this is now our hotel of choice for visiting this part of Cheshire. The best way to describe the hotel is Victorian classic meets contemporary modern boutique.. so tastefully done and they are still making improvements. Mark, Andy...

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding in the area and had a very pleasant stay. The room was well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and complementary toiletries were provided. As a side note the shower pressure was very good and the view from the bathroom window of the garden was lovely. We had breakfast the next morning...

Not quite the stay we had planned due to some delays and unexpected personal problems, however the hotel receptionist was amazing! Total credit to this hotel and made me feel much better about our bad luck. The room was lovely and hotel has a nice boutique feel about it. The bar was being renovated but this was managed well by...

We had a really beautiful afternoon, my husband and I at the hotel. the afternoon tea was of a high standard and the decor within the hotel is really stunning; high quality and wow factor with real individuality. Mark & Andrew couldn't do enough to make our afternoon tea enjoyable and we will definitely return - especially to see the...

We stayed here on our way back from Manchester Airport, as a break before a long day's travel. The hotel is immaculate and beautifully decorated with great care and attention. The garden is also beautifully looked after - though it was midwinter it was full of interest. There is a licenced bar, which is always a treat after a long...

Visited this hotel after a recommendation from a family member, and we weren't disappointed. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, rooms are well appointed and tastefully decorated and the breakfast was first class. This is a truely high-end establishment at very reasonable rates. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for two nights in Dec 2016 when visiting my parents for Christmas. It's lovely - suitably small & cosy. We had a beautiful newly-refurbished room, found the staff to be friendly and charming, and really enjoyed the delicious cooked-to-order full English breakfast. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it.

This has to be the most hospitable, most beautiful and has to be one of the most highly rated hotels in Cheshire, if its not, it should be. Oh, and the breakfast is just superb with all ingredients the best quality. 5 stars throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you

Thanks Geoff! Great to receive your review and your great comments on the hotel - we're almost at the end of the refurbishment of the lounge / function area (and the last of the bedrooms have been decorated) which we're very excited about - we hope to see you visit us again soon! Many thanks again. Mark

We stayed here for New Years Eve..a delightful and stylish hotel. A really nice ambience and a lovely little find for Congleton. It has a cosy feel inside, could have easily stayed longer. The breakfast was delicious and of a high standard. The hotel is pet friendly too in a couple of rooms...a real bonus. Happy friendly staff who fuss...
