Wonderful place in a spectacular setting, excellent food, especially the pizza, beautiful beach, terrific kayaking, gorgeous walks; all you could ask for except needed more time. Only unfortunate thing is that we encountered a abnormally cold summer and could hardly use the beautiful isolated beach.

Beautiful place in the heart of the Abel Tasman National Park, away from the crowds. Loved the bushwalking, birdwatching and particularly the kayaking trip we did with Josh, the resident guide. He is a great guy who knows lots about the wildlife, geology and the history of the park - definitely one of our highlights.

We visited Awaroa Lodge last week. What a surprise. Amazing bedroom set alone amongst forest tree setting. Song of ciccadoos as background. Was worried about food having read some reviws. However had wonderful, tasty dinner with excellent service. Would certainly recommend dinner here. No more expensive than anywhere else despite remote location. A wonderful break.

This is the most comfortable place in Abel Tasman National Park ! A boutique lodge, good cooking with vegetables, nice and helpful people. We came after a long walk and left on water taxi : it was perfectly organized by the Abel Tasman Kayak with who we enjoyed the réaliste coast kayak trip.

Set a few minutes walk away from the beach in the bush this is surprisingly sophisticated for the location. Our room ( no 2 ) was ok with all facilities and you feel you are almost on the bush.We kept the sliding door open ( with the screen shut) to enjoy the night noises. Very pleasant staff though with our...

A real gem in Abel Tasman. Had hiked in from another bay and had a great one night stay. Friendly staff, good food, peaceful room (apart from the cicada chorus!). Stunning walks, beautiful beach. A change of ownership since we were last there and a few subtle differences. Only quibble might be the buffet breakfast, which while extensive and good...

World class lodge at a very reasonable price. The setting in the Abel Tasman is perfect and the lodge complements the setting. Staff were great and the food was superb. Wouldn't change anything you have there .

We stayed here for one night as part of a self-guided package booked through Abel Tasman Guides. The room was pleasant and comfortable and we enjoyed a very nice meal in the restaurant. The restaurant was well priced, particularly given the remote location and absence of competition. The staff were also friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and...
