Having trekked up the mountain & down we wondered what we were going to find but what a surprise! A beautiful treat was in store for us. A thoroughly tastefully, sympathetically restored manor that were very comfortable in large rooms that were well heated together with large modern en suite bathrooms with lots of hot water. Food was served in... More

On part of a motorcycle tour of Spain only had one night here but will be back, I've stayed at bigger hotels in the area before but none have this feeling. Parts date back to 1600's but with modern themes. Big rooms, good bathrooms, quirky bar (it was Halloween weekend) and a great restaurant. All set in one of the... More

We stayed here for two nights. After the first night I would happily have given this hotel a five star rating. After the second - I struggled. Not necessarily the hotel's fault, hence why I settled on four. The plus points - the hotel is just over half an hour from Santander, so a great stopover for anyone travelling with... More

This is a very beatiful hotel on a nice, quite location, but that's it. We stayed there one night on an special prize we got in internet and with that price it was OK, but if we had had to pay the full price I would feel robbed. All there is to the place is it decoration and old style,... More

I stayed three nights at this hotel in the month of July, 2014. It is simply wonderful. The location is excellent, because it is situated very close to the main places of interest of Cantabria, few kilometres away from the coast or from any of the most impressive valleys. And very close to wonderful villages like Carmona, Santillana del Mar,... More

this distinctive, quirky hotel is just for you. Off the beaten track - in a hamlet of 20 people in a secluded river valley; Rooms that don't have numbers - they are all called after the wide variety of colours found in the area during the course of the year (some based on the colours of the houses located in... I have stayed at Camino Real at least 5 times over the last 8 years. It is a beautiful hotel with an excellent restaurant attached. All the rooms are large and individually decorated. Some are in separate buildings but the whole "complex" is just magical, and set in a beautiful valley less than an hour from Santander. There's no busy... More

My husband, three of my children (ages 16, 14, 11) and I stayed at El Camino Real de Selores for 4 nights while we visited Cantabria area. The building was 300 years old with remodeled rooms each with its own color. We stayed in los blancos and los amarillo rooms on the top floor. The rooms were large and the... More
