Peter and Els are wonderful people and right from the moment we met them, I knew we made the right choice of a place in Lismore. Their home is in a beautiful setting a short distance from the town of Lismore and quite an experience with gardens, hens, two wonderfully friendly dogs and within an easy walk to a river...

Hi - Thanks for taking the time to write. I'm again very happy you highlighted the breakfasts - Els will be thrilled. She feels she's the 'below the stairs' and doesn't get the limelight. But of course she's the power behind the throne. Happy too that you mentioned the BBQ - so few people make use of it though we...

Thanks Peter and Els for a most memorable stay at your wonderful home. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Peter, I really enjoyed all your insights about the local history and of course giving us a concert of your family's music... Next time, I want to hear YOU play! Els, your wonderful cooking spoiled us. It was all...

Situated just off the main road between Cappoquin and Lismore but well sign posted. Very convenient for visit to Lismore (Castle). The room was "rustic" but quite comfortable. The highlight was the house special breakfast recommended by Geet and apparently a recipe developed by Peter (our hospitable hosts). A baked egg concoction with the balance of spices to deliver a delightful...

Many thanks for the review - and especial thanks for mentioning the breakfast - Els often feels left out as most guests only talk with me - Els is the real worker behind the scenes. Thanks again.

Very nice and lovely place near the blackwater river (walking distance). Els' breakfast is the best we ever had in Ireland. You have to try Peter's scones. They are wonderful. We can recommend the twin room. It has a very large and beautyful bath room. You have to visit Ballyn garden in Lismore. It is a very old and beautyful...

Hello - I can't believe it's taken me this long to respond to your wonderful review - many thanks. We really enjoyed having you here (both times) and sincerely hope you'll come back (if only for the scones :-))

Great (quiet) spot for a bit of laid-back relaxation. We (a mate and I) came for the last day of the salmon fishing on the Blackwater but ended up staying for a few days extra. The breakfasts are THAT good. + we got to borrow (free) the Canadian canoe for a trip on the river this morning. Fan-tastic. Els runs...

Hello - many thanks for a great (and full) review. We love to hear that you enjoyed the stay and were really glad that you got to canoe - so many come and then forget we've lots to do here - but it's such a beautiful area - that's why we moved here !! Happy too you enjoyed Els cooking.

Excellent accommodation (we also saw the self-catering apartment too) The B&B is very comfortable and beautivully decorated in a simple style with lots of good artwork and flowers. Great breakfast and a good bed. Very clean and very warm welcome. Els (from Amsterdam) is wonderful cook with lots of choice for breakfast and Peter is very knowledgable about all things...

Stopped in at this place as myself and the wife were looking for a stopover in south east waterford, in my opinion one of the most scenic places in the south east. This BnB is nestled just off the main road outside of Lismore, which itself boasts a castle and countless other scenic views. Lismore itself is a stones throw...

Oh My, Peter and Els must be the most spectacular hosts. My husband and I were 'oh so tired' from the trip in from Dublin and they treated us as old friends. We only stayed one night but we wish we could have stayed a week. Els's breakfast is out of this world!
