Having an excellent stay at the Marriott Fairway Villas in Absecon, NJ (just outside Atlantic City). The two bedroom units have everything you need for a comfortable stay; full kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, washer/dryer in unit etc. The staff is also welcoming and accommodating. When we had a problem of leaks coming from the refrigerator the first night, it was addressed immediately. A brand new refrigerator was delivered the next morning already cooled as it was plugged in overnight. The staff and managers at the front desk called several times to make sure all the issues were addressed and taken care of.
Also there are daily activities you can participate in. Yesterday they had a singer outdoors where you could sit around a fire pit. Today there is karaoke with a complimentary drink. Also the grounds are meticulously maintained. Lots of people are sprucing up the place, getting ready for the busy summer season. We will be back.

Marriott never ceases to meet our travel expectations. Our unit was on the 3rd floor and they have luggage carts and small grocery carts to help you bring things into the unit..
The 2 bedrooms are spacious and can sleep up to 8 people. The shower is large and there is a soaking tub in the 2nd bathroom.
The kitchen is large enough that it’s not crowded. They have stainless appliances. The unit has a stackable washer and dryer. Look for the detergent in a small basket on the side of the washer.
There is a screened porch that is so nice to sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee.
The grounds are well manicured and every employee I walked by acknowledged me with a hello and how’s your day going.
The only negative is the lack of handicapped parking at each group of villa buildings.

This property is a wonderful resort for a quiet family vacation. It is not a large resort, however it has a lot of activities and the villas are well appointed. There is a golf course, driving range, and adult pool and adult hot tub completely separate from the main pool area. The adult pool area was too quiet for us. We went over to the main pool area which has a zero entry pool as well as a large splash pad. The are ample loin here chairs around the pool areas. The are indoor and an outdoor pool tables, ping pong, corn hole, a large gym, an indoor pool and hot tub, outdoor chess, and outdoor connect four, just to name a few things. There is a game room on-site, a small marketplace and a small place to order food and eat outside or at your villa. The villas have been updated, and the tub has been removed from the master suite as other reviews have noted. It makes for a large empty feeling of space between the sleeping area and the shower/toilet. I agree with others, put a new soaking tub back in or enlarge the entire shower area. It looks okay, but it’s missing something. The room has a table that seats 8 comfortably. One section of the seating is a long build in bench seat. The kitchen is very aesthetically pleasing with all you need to cook, should you choose too. The 2nd bathroom has your standard bath tub. There is also a large utility room with a washer and dryer. The property is about 20 minutes from Atlantic City and 25-30 minutes from Ventnor/Margate Beaches. The closest Supercharger is 20 minutes away on Fire Road in Egg Harbor.

We were treated to a 2 bedroom villa by friends who are Marriott time share owners in CA. We loved the room sizes and layout. The fire pits at night were a nice addition. The location right off Route 9 was ideal. There is a nearby resort, golf course and pub within walking distance. We visited the NJ shore towns from Point Pleasant to Cape May from this central location.

Overall, we had an amazing time. The rooms were fresh and very modernized and spacious. My daughter is disabled with auditory sensitivity so we recommended a third floor quiet room but was only offered a second floor room. I called back and spoke to Ryan and he was able to get me the third floor accommodation.
The amenities were top notch in the rooms and the customer service reps were very polite and accomodating.
I wish they had a breakfast option or an onsite place to eat after 5pm. The only really negative comment i have is the outdoor pool. People weren't controlling their kids，as they were just jumping and diving into the pool and hot tub as they pleased, which made it hard for my young kids to enjoy the water. Some of the parents didn't even bother to accompany their kids, just left them to do what they liked without supervision.
That aside, i would still recommend these villas if you don't mind being half hour from Ocean City

I really don't like writing negative reviews, and you can see from my profile, that I rarely write them, and consider myself pretty easy to please, but I had an experience at the Marriott Fairway Villas that was much less than I had expected.
We were visiting family in the area (about 1 hour north), and booked a room at the Fairway Villas just for one night. Sadly, I can't help but feeling a little cheated, and this is not a complaint about the room itself or the front desk staff, both of which I would recommend. The room itself has lots of space, is super clean, and has lots of great amenities including a full sized range, plenty of plates and silverware, premium bedding, and the screened in porch would be amazing feature in the summer months.
The source of my disappointment is that one of the website listed amenities is no longer available. When I booked through Marriott's website, the room listed spray jet tubs among its in-room amenities. My wife and I thought it was worth driving the extra hour past where we would normally stay for spray jets, which would be especially welcome after a long, stressful week at work. I have learned that although they are listed on the website as a room amenity, the rooms have been renovated, and the spray jet tubs were removed, which for us, was a total bummer, because that was the amenity that tipped the decision in favor of staying here. Simply put, we would not have stayed here if the spray jet tub amenity wasn't listed, so it was really disappointing to find out after the fact. The space itself and the front desk staff are great, but we are unhappy that a key amenity that we had been expecting was not here. Hopefully, the hotel updates its in-room amenity list to better manage the expectation of future guests.

I had a very poor experience here. The first issue was check in being very delayed and the hotel saying they didn't have my reservation anymore because we arrived the following morning (this was a prepaid booking though). The staff became very frustrated with my toddler who was crying (we did take him outside after but we tried to console him in the lobby for 5-10 minutes). The staff said the reservation was cancelled because we had arrived later than expected. I understood and was willing to book online for the rest of the stay (it was now cheaper than my initial price) when I mentioned that they immediately said they would not honor anything I booked. I've never run into something like that- they were willing to re-activate my stay at the higher price or said they would cancel the new reservation as it came through. To be clear I agreed to pay the fee of the first night since that's what I already paid. It was about $30 a difference a night so I would have saved some money but again they were very rude about it. They have a splash pad so that was nice for my kid but staff made it seem like the facility is for adults only. ITS A SPLASH PAD THOUGH. Would not recommend staying again.

I was surprised to see the excellent reviews for this place. We just got back from a weekend there. Kids liked the pool area, but overall it's a very average hotel. The fact that there is no room cleaning broke us. When i called they said they can deliver new sheets (well needed with our baby etc) but that i would have to put them on myself. Or, i can pay for room cleaning. I was shocked, as this weekend cost us so much already. Add to that the fact that there is no restaurant on premises (unless you're into nuggets with fries, which the kids enjoyed), you'll get an average 3 star hotel, no food or options for breakfast, no room cleaning, and the beach is a drive away. I am not one of those people who complain ever, but we were so disappointed, especially as it's not a $200/night hotel, which should be the price, in our opinion.

We enjoyed several nights at the Marriott Fairway Villas this week. The staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful, ensuring that the barbecues were ready for use and that the outdoor fire pits were able to be used for s’mores.
The resort has a lot of games and amenities available for you to use during your stay.
The two bedroom villas are laid out very nicely. Although you can tell this is an older resort it appears as the rooms have been renovated recently. The room was very clean, well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable.
The room above our room decided to turn some loud music on at 1:30 am but the staff were quick to ensure that the room above us turned their music down and Tania Flores did a wonderful job by reaching out the next morning to ensure that her staff took care of the issue.
My suggestion would be to try to get a room on the top floor to avoid any issues with noise.
Overall this is a beautiful resort with friendly and helpful staff.

We had just stayed at a Marriott Vacation Club in Costa Rica and this was not as nice. The hotel wasn’t maintained that well. The room had hair balls, stained sheets and the pullout couch was overall dirty. As an example of how little care was given to cleanliness, when we walked in there was a large footprint of a flip flop on one of the hallway walls that had been used to kill a large bug of which the remains were also still on the wall. The kids thought this was funny. It was less funny when it was still there when we checked out. We saw times with housekeeping on their phones in the same hallway waiting for a room to empty but no one cared enough to clean the big guts and footprint off the wall.
On the more positive side the room was spacious and the kitchen area nice. The kids loved the splash pad, mining station and game room. They enjoyed the pool too but in general the actual pool felt WAY too small for a resort of that size where there are a lot of families. The pool area was big enough though as chairs were not a problem and they provided good shade.
While the pool probably isn’t getting any bigger, the other issues here could be fixed with some more diligence and oversight, but we would not consider returning until the cleanliness improved.

I stayed in Forest Highlands and it is VERY quiet. Nothing is really nearby, there is plenty of parking and the walk to the pools is less than 5 mins. I was on the top floor and that was fine too - there is an elevator if you need it.
