I recently stayed at the Gaylord on a work trip. I would say that it was a mixed experience. The room itself was standard Marriott, clean but a bit worn, not as "luxe" as I would expect for the price, average. All of the staff were friendly and considerate. Housekeeping was excellent, thorough and efficient. The convention area was adequate,...

I attended the Baseball Winter Meetings and stayed with a few friends in their room. The hotel rooms were quite nice but missing a microwave but the lobby staff helped me locate one by the coffee area. One morning I needed to use the restroom and the nearest one was on the ground floor but the housekeeping staff allowed me...

So we have just checked into the Gaylord National Hotel in DC. I'll just run down the lines all my issues--- 1) I called the hotel twice on my 4 hour drive with three children in the car I asked for a roll away bed, which I would have to pay $25 for. One agent directly at the hotel said...

I got the one bedroom suite and it was very spacious and it was very comfortable and clean. Definitely worth the price. The beds were so soft and comfortable. There was a full dining table as well as a soft bed and two tvs. Also a great view of the Potomac river and Ferris wheel. Also a full size bathroom....

I just read a bunch of reviews prior to writing mine and wonder if we stayed in the same hotel...maybe my room had been recently renovated or something but I thought my room was great. Very large standard king room with a balcony facing the atrium, probably equivalent to a room at a JW Marriott in terms of amenities and...

Treat yourself by staying at this hotel during Christmas. It is beautiful with plenty to see and do. All staff were helpful and friendly, food was delicious and the rooms were the quietest I have ever experienced. Enjoy the water taxi to Alexandria right out the back side of the hotel.

I recently treated myself to a Birthday stay at the Gaylord National Harbor. Booked an upper-level Atrium room - with two queen beds. The room was large and nicely decorated, with a balcony looking into the lovely atrium and across the Potomac River. In-room coffee maker and bottled water included (always a plus). Check-in on a rainy Saturday afternoon was...

We stayed here 3 nights for a conference. The shops and restaurants and entertainment district are all within a few blocks walking distance. Great variety. The rack rate for the Gaylord is overpriced, the conference rate made this a good value. We had some minor issues with the concierge and other staff, but nothing major. The atrium provides a great...

I was looking forward to staying at the Gaylord National ever since I saw it in a picture. It was a birthday present from my best friend. She paid extra to get us a good room facing the atrium and a romantic package. We checked in at 6pm and all the "good rooms" has been taken. I was so disappointed...

The hotel is very large with extensive meeting spaces. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and lots of children came in to see the displays and also the entertainment. My room had a great view of the Potomac and the Ferris Wheel. The room itself was very basic with a small refrigerator no microwave and no comfortable chair. The desk...
