Stayed here for about 7 nights and found it to be clean and all you need if you are on the Island to fish. The food provided by the Hotel was very good and bottled water was available. There was beer and softdrink available and a cooked breakfast every day if you wanted it. the rooms were serviced every day...

'The island of Kiritimati is definitely not "walkable", you will need a vehicle to travel around the island. There are no public transport nor taxi around the island so I was extremely thankful to have found Capital Cook Hotel that offers the island tour. My friend and I did a day trip to Kiritimati from Fiji, the hotel owner along...

We loved our vacation at Captain Cook Hotel. The accommodations were rustic but clean and right on the ocean. The staff were so friendly and even arranged for a rental car for our stay. We loved visiting the bathing lagoon, driving around the island and meeting the local people. Meals were served at a single table so we got to...

Landed in Kiritimati on a flight from Honolulu that was meant to be going on to Nadi the same day, however, Fiji Airways had other plans in store...After being bundled off a broken-down plane and stowed onto pick-up trucks many of the passengers of flight FJ823 including myself were provided with modest lodgings at the Captain Cook hotel, thankfully just...

The food is excellent, the rooms are very clean and tidy and the bar is the most cool place to sit with a beer. Not at all cheap as of course EVERYTHING has to be brought in. For where it is.......................quite a...

My room was actually a bungalow by the sea with the waves breaking just metres from my back door. The staff were friendly and homely. I stayed from Jan 1st to Jan 9th having all 3 meals there. Yes Lobster was on the menu several times, as was fresh tuna. I enjoyed the singing on the last night "Don't say...

The food was great... Had fresh Lobster 4 nights along with other fresh fish, chicken, etc... There were only 12 guests at the hotel...

The hotel except the twin old wing has now 7-8 modern bungalows in a lovely surrounding. The beach is not attractive though because of the waves and the corals. The bungalows are spacious and face the sea. (too close) . The food is boring .Only...lobster! Is probably the best hotel in Christmas Island (Kiritimati) with lovely and helpful staff ....

I had only 7 hours to spend, so I take a guided tour provided by Captain Cook Hotel to see east coast as far north you can go and then in lands to the lagoons, which were amazing. The Captain Cook is planning and making major improvements for the next year by implementing more to wind and solar energy, recycling...
