Stayed one night (bed and breakfast) after attending a wedding in the village. Early check in at no extra cost so that we could get organised before the wedding. Sheena, the owner, was very welcoming and could not have been more attentive during breakfast. Our room was clean and well appointed, if a little dated, but this added to the...

We found the location perfect for the night before a morning flight out of Inverness. Our twin room was spacious with comfortable beds and small but modernized ensuite bathroom. As there is not a lift, we had willing assist to carry our bags upstairs. Our favorite part of our short stay was dining in the lounge bar and chatting with...

Was up on business, chose the Gun Lodge over a pricier hotel in Inverness. Will do so again. Local fish and chips for dinner. Great breakfast. Sheena and her team do a great job. Atmosphere in the bar friendly for a single traveller.

We visited dined at The Gun Lodge the weekend before Christmas - we were the only diners in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and patient with us as we chatted before making our choices from the menu. Although there was a roast of the day on the. menu we were told that it was not an option to hat...

A little off the beaten track but well worth the trip. Near to Inverness airport and serving delicious freshly prepared food using local produce at a very reasonable price. I've sampled most of the menu items here and never been disappointed. Personal favourites have been the calamari and the lamb casserole. The fish and chips is also excellent. I can't...

Very helpful barman who also did the reception part and waiter. Room was clean and spacious but very dated. Large bathroom with new aqua panelling . Other half of bathroom had a very peculiar paint colour and requires decoration along with the ceiling. Hand written note regarding towels. Requires upgrading as lots of potential. Understand an old building but no...

I recently had the very great pleasure of staying once again in the Gun Lodge Hotel. I have been a regular visitor almost since Sheena and her family purchased it. I have seen the changes and improvements that have been made over the years and I cannot understand the comments made of doggy smells or the damp (Reveiw dated 24.08.16.)...

We stayed twice at this great hotel, once at the start of our north coast 500 adventure and loved it so much that we cancelled our booking in Inverness and returned for our final night. The welcome is warm and genuine and the home cooked food great. The cooked breakfast was the best that we had all week, with locally sourced...

We booked this hotel as we had a late flight into Inverness. It is really convenient being only about 6 minutes drive away. The hotel is quite small and rather traditional. However it was clean with free wifi and a very good sized room and bathroom. The toiletries in the bathroom were lovely. On the downside it could do with...
