Had the great pleasure to visit Glen Afric in October with my son. It was a very interesting adventure seeing all the animals and our guide ( sorry can't remember her name) was excellent. The elephants were brilliant, getting up so close was something I'll never forget. A very well organised trip. Collected at hotel and brought back. What more...

Thank you so much for your '5 Star' review and kind words. We are pleased that you enjoyed your day's outing to Glen Afric and got to experience our animals up-close and personal. We too wish that filming could resume on a new series of Wild at Heart but this is unfortunately in the hands of the producers. Hopefully you...

Lying in a more remote location it took us a little while to find the Glen Afric Country Lodge. However, once there we found a very nice restaurant on a quiet Monday evening. The main reason for choosing Glen Afric was the expectation that we might have a choice of more 'African' food. As it turned out this was not...

Whenever I am in the area visiting family we always make a point of visiting Glen Afric, I never get tired of it. Whether it's just for a sundowner and watching the game or a meal. I have always had excellent service and good food. This time we booked for Sunday lunch which is normally a buffet with elephant feeding...

We enjoyed a great traditional South African Sunday Buffet lunch here with friends. The selection of food was good, and the food was very good. A treat on top of the lunch in an typical African game lodge setting was the opportunity to feed the Elephants that they bring up the the restaurant area at around 2pm each Sunday. All...

Every evening there was a beautiful sunset that I watched from the deck. It was one of the prettiest views I've ever seen. The drinks are very I expensive and delicious as well. I recommend the 'Speeeeeedball'. The food was also incredible, my favorite dish being the ostrich filet covered in a chocolate chili sauce. This is a must try...

My wife is a massive fan of Wild at Heart. While on business in Johannesburg I contacted Glen Afric and told them about my wife and about the fact that it was her birthday. Well. They went out of their way to accommodate us with the most wonderful "Wild at Heart" day touring every part of the set that was...

To be accurate, I did not stay at Country Lodge facilities. I was at their adjacent building that houses volunteer´s projects. Despite being a volunteer I did use the hotel´s restaurant and lobby as well and walked around the property extensively. The public areas of the hotel are lovely, safari themed decorated and the staff are nice. The restaurant provided...

My guests and I stayed in the stable blocks for 4 nights, the rooms are clean and well maintained and the sounds of the lions roaring at night and early morning is brilliant. Well taken care of animals and they are well treated with NO unneeded breeding for expliotation.
