I looked far and wide for the right lodging for our stay in the Amazon. I didn't want a commercial hotel, I really wanted to experience the wonders of the Amazon without a crowd, while still having the basics like hot water and a roof over my head. Juma fit the bill and beyond. Your adventure starts as soon as...

The place is exactly what is says it is. No over promising but the difference are the guides. We had Leon who was probably one of the most professional guides I have had in Brazil. Calm and knowledgable he was able to juggle a diverse group with diverse interests. It is tough when some people want to fish piranhas and...

Together with my eleven fishing friends, i spent one week at the lodge. They did a great job at creating an environmental friendly lodge in the middle of the Amazon. Electricity is solar power generated, all the water is treated before releasing it, everything get recycled. The rooms are quite large and comfortable. A fan on the ceiling keeps you...

We stayed for three nights and were overwhelmed by the professionalism and friendliness of staff. Our host Ralf and our guide Enrique provided excellent service. We had birding boat trips, fished for pirañas and did jungle walking tours. The rooms were more comfortable than I expected. No A/C but a powerful overhead fan kept the room comfortable. You are in...

Stayed here for one night only this month and it was absolutely amazing. Granted, with no wifi and no air conditioning, it's not everyone's cup of tea. Especially considering the weather! It really was insanely hot, but it made for a nice getaway and gave us a chance to disconnect from the rest of the world. We had a great...

My hut was great, sitting over the river with a little bit of swaying. The trip there is quite an experience - pick up from the hotel, onto a boat for about 45 minutes, then back on in car for another 30 mins or more and a final 45 minute boat trip - an adventure in itself! There weren't a...

What does a person expect from a hotel deep in the Amazon? I wasn't quite sure, but electricity, running water and good meals were what I hoped for, and was pleasantly surprised when we found them. I think I expected the place to be more primitive, but that was not the case. Although there was no air-conditioning, the rooms had...

My new wife and I stayed at Juma Lodge for 3 days as part of our honeymoon in Brazil and we both agreed it was our favourite location of the trip. We wondered what the quality of food and room would be like beforehand, considering the location, but I really cannot fault the Lodge in either respect. Reading through the...

We spent 2 nights at the Juma Lodge at the beginning of August. 2 Adults and 2 teenagers. Lodge not ready and dirty when we arrived (while we arrived at the end of the day). Toilets not usable and dirty. But the worst was that the expected peaceful place and lovely lodges were indeed twins lodges. These lodges which are...

Dear Guest I am sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. We really have to apologize you for the short delay in preparing your room. We were in a very high season and it really took us a bit more of time to prepare all the rooms. We will plan to hire one more maid next...

The company sorted all of the transfers, picking us up from the Tropical Manaus Hotel, boat ride across the meeting of the rivers, car journey through fishing village and finally a boat journey through the amazon to our lodge. It was a long journey, but surely that's to be expected if you want to see the beauty of the Amazon...
