Terra Luna lodge is set in a lovely area, just outside the city centre of Tena. It cost $2 by taxi so it was easy to get to, but nice to be able to appreciate the trees and plants around us.

Sarah and Dario looked after us while we were here, making us feel very welcome.

I’d recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.

The lodge also held an informal tour of the grounds where Sarah taught us about some of the local plants. On the Saturday night, Dario made a fire in the garden, made us some local drinks & taught us about his customs.

Well recommended.

After staying 1 night at a noisy dump in the center of Tena, I escaped here. Quiet, relatively isolated in the forest, with lots of birds. The oropendulas provided the wake-up call 😁.

Decent pool, fast Wi-Fi. Breakfast nothing special—small plate of fruit with yogurt, scrambled eggs, some fried bread, coffee & juice.

Would stay again, although I much prefer the “Paraíso de las orquideas”.

Staying at Terra Luna lodge was an absolute delight! Sarita went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and enjoyment. When Realize my reservation at my booking my expectations were great, had requested room for 2 people with separate and who had traveled with my nephew for the first time to Ecuador beds, the price I got at my booking was one and on arrival was another, finally gave me a room that was so dirty I think had not been cleaned in a long time, could not take a shower in the amount of hair that was in the walls of the shower, towel feet was both number of hairs, the phone did not work, talk to the owner that the next day I offered another room, but as he had already been late by tired of a better trip decided to stay all being the last it night in the hotel, one thing I drew attention to the day d my arrival was that had asked for the menu to order something for dinner and the menu we had chosen 2 identical dishes but my surprise was that just as in my book the price was different than when the I ask for the bill since the menu was saying 13 dollars per plate and was charged 17 dollars per plate, due to my experience in this type of business the truth that it is very disappointed as were my high expectations, perhaps in another height or other owners improve quality and customer service, the place is nice a little off the town has a small swimming pool and a very nice pet parrot think is learning to speak, the breakfast was good.

It is inserted in the city, but letting you feel like you were in the jungle. Incredible location.

I always write the details in the suggestions book, but, when I asked for it, it never came to my hands. So there I go:

- TV wasn't working. Problem with the antenna.
- Mold in shower walls.
- Toothbrush and used soap of last passenger were still in the room.
- A dead fly under my pillow.
- Musty odor in the whole room.
- Bed sheets almost transparent.
- They prepared the breakfast without asking what I do eat. I don't eat bacon or dairy food. Don't waste food please!
- Never asked if I wanted to take a tour. No touristic info given, proactively.
- And this: Corkage fee? I've seen that in restaurants, but in your own room? No way!

You have the potential of an espectacular place, guys! Take advantage of it, please!, because I want to come back. Train your people and improve your procedures. Thank you.

We had short but really nice stay at Terra Luna Lodge. Our bungalow was nicely decorated and clean. All staff members were very friendly, polite and ready to go an extra mile to ensure we were satisfied. Food was very good, fresh and tasty, I would only like if it was a bit more authentic.

Beautiful and tranquil hotel, charming rooms, great shower and bed. In the well kept garden with lovely swimming pool, we could discover new animals like butterfly, birds,... peacock everyday.

The staff was extraordinary helpful, attentive and kind. We recommend this lovely place.

Unfortunately, we had only 1 night to stay at this enticing lakefront compound. The grounds included a nice reception area with a small shop, a restaurant with just stunning views of the lake and mountains, complete with outdoor seating, a spa, sauna and hot tub, wood cabins (including a treehouse) and geometric dome tent rooms, which we had. The dome is atop a wooden deck with uninterrupted lake/mountain views, an outdoor chair/table setup, a large queen bed, plastic roll up windows and a separate full bathroom. The entry and divider to the bathroom are built out of wood, wrapped in the steel frame/dome white vinyl tent. It really is a cool combination and you could spend days never moving from your view. When we arrived at 2 the restarant nicely stayed open to provide us some lunch. Internet is only in the restaurant, but you can't complain about the views when surfing the internet.

The three young men who provide most of the services and oversight of this hotel are professional enough to have gone to a Swiss hotel school. Nothing is overlooked down to the smallest detail. On our last morning there was a light rain and looking out our front window was an open umbrella under the portico waiting for us. Each time we slipped into the pool someone put a fresh towel on the chaises for us. On and on they observed every little thing you might need and provided it. Moreover, the grounds and rooms of this small resort are very well-designed to create a soothing, restful stay. The beds are very comfortable and have fine linens. The hot water was more than necessary and the shower commodious. The bar contains an espresso machine and you can have your capuchino brought to a table by the pool. This is a tropical rainforest climate and so is quite warm. Cooling off in the well-maintained pool was perfect as were the through-the-wall air conditioning units. Unlike many air conditioning designs, these were placed high on the wall out of the way of the bed and had precise temperature control so that you did not have to freeze to avoid the heat while sleeping. A tasty, generous breakfast is provided. It feels as though you are quite remote but you are only a ten minute walk from the center of the city of Tena and what may possibly be Ecuador's very best restaurant: The Marquis. Driving to the resort works fine with some GPS guidance. Do not be daunted by the short journey down a back road. There are signs and this place is worth it. We will certainly go back on a regular basis since we live in the central highlands of Ecuador just 4 hours away. There are no insect issues here and no sign of insecticides.

Beautiful place. Rooms are luxurious and clean. Staff is friendly and ready to help in any way you need. Everything looks really nice. The only thing that needs work is the restaurant. Breakfast is oké, although we had to ask for things like plates. Dinner : we ate not really bad but the pizza was brought by a guy on a bike. We had a laugh about it it but is not right of course when you advise people your pizza's .
