The staff was very pleasant, and I liked the location, but my room was not especially clean, and the breakfast was just okay. Due to the reasonable price, I wasn't overly disappointed, but I wish that it would have been a little cleaner.

We stayed just one night to break up a long drive. Our room was small, but comfortable. The hostal is quite nicely designed and decorated. We had an enjoyable drink on the spacious balcony on our floor. On the ground floor there is a nice bar and breakfast room. Breakfast and wifi were fine. We were able to park our...

Visited Puyo for a weekend with friends. Hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was available 24/7, and tasty breakfast included. Hotel staff recommended a tour from 9am to 6pm that was AMAZING. They called the guide, Luis, and he picked us up right at the hotel after breakfast. We learned about the history of the indigenous culture and medicinal...

Great little hotel, easy walk to the river which has a lovely paved, long walk along it. Small shops are around the hotel, laundries, bakeries etc and the hotel has a little cafe. The staff were excellent, very helpful, very basic broken English spoken, breakfast was pre-plated (not buffet) was large and very filling. Lovely garden rooms are quiet, balcony...

I stayed in this hostal for 3 days with a friend. We stayed in the quieter rooms. I think they have others that are cheaper but we didnt see those. We had been working hard the days before and comming to this hostal was great. It was like being at home. They took very good care of us...one of the...

Las Palmas is a charming little hotel from another era evoke by its beautiful architecture situated near the city center only 10 minutes. The deluxe rooms are superb, hot water aplenty, outlet plug are functional to recharge our equipments, WiFi works well enough, the staff is attentive, English and French can be understood.

Not only are the people very friendly with a delicious breakfast, but I managed to lock my keys inside my rental car, and the manager/owner of Las Palmas helped by making calls for me and ultimately having the agency unlock the doors remotely. Saved!

Like others, I found the rooms to be clean, the beds comfortable, and the water in the shower hot. Towels and soap/shampoo are provided and a tasty breakfast (cooked, not buffet style) is included in the price of the room. (There are two choices for breakfast - eggs and a sandwhich of ham or cheese, or the house special of...

Our room was very comfortable and clean. Good hot shower. The staff was sometimes hard to locate, but overall they were accommodating and friendly. I suffered a mishap involving LOTS OF MUD on the way to Puyo from the jungle, and the staff took in my disgusting pile of laundry without complaint!

This hostal/hotel is located in the town center of Puyo. If you're looking for an inexpensive alternative from the more pricey hotels in the area this would be your best option. There are indeed better hostals and hotels throughout Ecuador for a lower price, however this hostal for the area does the job. Hot water, a luxury in this part...
