The Millstream nestles in the heart of Old Bosham, an historic village on the shores of Chichester Harbour, combining the elegance of a small English country house with the character and charm of an eighteenth century malthouse cottage. The Bar offers a cosy fireside setting in which to relax. On warm days a door opens onto the lawns where you can sit beneath a sunshade and listen to the chatter of the ducks. The charming sitting room, with its deep cushioned armchairs, grand piano, bowls of freshly cut flowers and tranquil atmosphere, is the ideal place to meet up with friends over a afternoon tea or an aperitif, to play a quiet game of cards or just settle down and while away the hours with a good novel. The 2 AA Rosette Restaurant, overlooking the pretty gardens, offers a varied selection of modern British dishes, prepared with the best available fresh, seasonal, local produce, which are complemented by a list of fine wines from an established cellar. Each enchanting bedroom has been attractively styled to enhance its individual character and outlook. All have en-suite facilities, flat screen television, wi-fi internet access, radio/CD alarm clock, tea & coffee making facilities, mini-fridge with complimentary mineral water & fresh milk, direct dial telephone, wall safe, trouser press and hairdryer. The Gardens that surround the hotel are carefully tended and provide a wonderful place to relax in the warmer weather. Overlooking the stream in the side garden is an oak Gazebo which was built for a Wild family wedding and which now provides shelter from the rain or sun. In the summer months there are tables and chairs at which you can enjoy morning coffee, a light lunch, afternoon tea, a cocktail before dinner or an al fresco meal as the sun comes down.

We went back to the Millstream in late January for a long weekend. Its like home from home. The staff are as welcoming and friendly as ever. The food was excellent. It is a unique place with the beauty and quiet (in winter anyway) of Bosham, the surrounding countryside and the

Dear Flygirl1718, We noted your TripAdvisor question in October and are glad the Superior Garden Room was available for your stay. We have tried hard to include home from home comforts as you rightly mention to make each stay a little more memorable. I am glad you made the most of the Hibernation offer and dined in each restaurant during your stay; we like to give flexibility and guests the option to dine in both restaurants for stays of two or more nights. Head Chef, Neil, has seasonal dishes and favourites on both menus – we are yet to put your marriage proposal to him! I will be sure to pass on your kind words to each of the team members you have mentioned. We look forward to seeing you again soon; do visit us in the Spring or Summer months as sitting in the gardens in evening sunshine or dining alfresco at Marwick’s brasserie is particularly nice. Best regards, Tom Sherlock Hotel Manager

Every year we are encouraged to take advantage of their winter, regulars' discount. We love the Milldtream so need little persuasion. Nor, it seems do the many others making it a 'full house'. The Millstraeam staff cope well under pressure but of course they cannot physically

Dear Jawenold, Thank you for your review. I note your mention of our team and am pleased to read your positive comments about them, our food and the comfort of the hotel. I appreciate your disappointment on not being able to utilise the lounge pre-dinner on your second evening. Occasionally this does happen during the cooler months when guests do not have the option to enjoy a drink in our gardens. We look forward to welcoming again in the future. Kind regards, Tom Sherlock

We booked two premium rooms, one for ourselves and one for my in-laws. Both were lovely (32 and 12A). We ate in the restaurant both nights, really fantastic food. Every single staff member was courteous, professional and personable. Truly, every single one. Bosham is such a cute

Dear Linda S, Thank you for leaving such a wonderful review. It is really great to see such positive feedback about our staff. All try really hard and take on board our family values. I will be sure to pass on your comments to the team. We are indeed very fortunate to be situated in such a beautiful location, just a five minute walk from the village and quayside. I hope to welcome you again soon. Kind regards, Tom Sherlock

I just adore this hotel. From the minute we arrive until we leave the staff cannot do enough to make us feel at home. In fact it is just like coming home, but the little touches of luxury make it stand out as a very special family run hotel; increasingly more and more difficult

Dear Olthedot, Thank you for your great review. I am thrilled to hear that our team make you feel at home and you enjoy our additional touches. Being owned and run by our family, we try hard to deliver a quality product, friendly and efficient service and delicious food. I am glad our kitchen brigade accommodated your preferences. We are always happy to create dishes to suit preferences, dietary requirements and allergens. We hope to see you in the warmer months enjoying that margarita in the gardens and perhaps dining alfresco on the terrace at Marwick’s. Kind regards, Tom Sherlock

Yes, we always ask for and get a king sized bed room. These are usually two three foot singles zipped together. We also ask for and get sheets and blankets instead of the dreaded duvets. Anything you ask for they will try and accommodate you. Enjoy.
