Card machine not working so wanted balance in cash, then failed to close booking so we didn't receive discount offered by toprooms, then they rang to chase payment days later - luckily we had receipt!

It has the crooked quirk of a building its age, the standard of finish in the bedroom was ok, the bathroom was to a much better standard. The breakfast was plentiful (hot food and table service) but a bit slow to come. There was a problem with the heating on our visit which wasn't resolved, and we agreed to check...

I have been coming to The Bell for the last 8 years for Cheltenham and booked this years trip or so I thought. I rang up the today only to discover the girl who took my call months ago failed to book it into the system. When asking for a solution I was told there isn't any room free so...

We didn't stay at The Bell, but had an evening meal there. The food was excellent value, particularly for the Cotswolds! Would definitely recommend eating there if you like unpretentious but fresh, well prepared food with very generous portions.

Many years ago, too many years ago as a young person I sat outside the Bell drinking lime and soda in the heat of the day while putting the worlds to right in the way that young people do. It was a very happy afternoon in a summer heatwave in the Cotswolds. This time it was mid winter, not a...

Laura showed us to our room. The room was lovely, spacious, large modern bathroom. I was really pleased. On further inspection i did come...

Nice welcome from friendly staff; lovely well-appointed room, nice (free) toiletries and bottled water; nice enough evening meal The not so good Water pressure almost non-existent so forced to bend double in order to wash my hair; told breakfast available from 8am (which is pretty late for a weekday and not a great offer) yet at 8.05am the...

Appalling place to stay - on arrival the manager said he could not find our booking, and although I told him I had my booking confirming on my phone and in hard copy he said he did not need this. He promptly tried to find it from his computer and then said it did not surprise him as nothing was working...

We stopped here for lunch, two adults and two children (1 and 6 years). We effectively ordered 3 main courses, and some soft drinks. We waited ages and ages, and the food was some of the worst I have had, it was edible, but reminiscent of hospital or school food. The very definition of food cooked without any love or...

We stayed here couple of nights whilst visiting Oxfordshire. Upon arrival I was pleased to find a large, spacious car park, with spaces large enough to prevent others opening their doors onto your car. We arrived mid-afternoon and were shown to our room which was in the annex at the rear of the pub. The room was large and well...
