Registered as a tangible cultural property, Ochiairo Murakami offers Japanese-style accommodations and public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. You can relax by the fireplace in the lounge or refresh with massages and facial treatments for an extra cost. A free pick-up is available from bus stop Yugashima. Rooms are decorated in historical Japanese style, and fitted with a flat-screen TV, a fridge and yukata robes. The en suite bathroom comes with a hairdryer and features natural hot spring water. Guests who wish to use free Wi-Fi in the rooms. Bicycle rentals are available for touring the area and local gifts can be purchased at the souvenir shop. English newspapers can be requested at time of booking. Private reservable hot-spring baths are available as well. The hotel is built 80 years ago. Traditional multi-course meals featuring local ingredients are served for dinner and a Japanese set-menu for breakfast. Meals can be enjoyed in the room. Murakami Ochiairo is a 10-minute drive from Joren Falls, 25 minutes from Shuzen-ji Temple and 30 minutes from Shuzenji Niji no Sato. Guests coming from JR Shuzenji Station can take a taxi (around 15 minutes) or public bus (25 minutes) to bus stop Yugashima, which is just 1 minute with the hotel’s complimentary pick-up service.

You can enjoy good old Japanese stay. The architecture, which includes seven cultural heritage, is more than fifty years old beside a river and a suspension bridge. Dinner and breakfast are good mainly with fishes and vegetables. Staff is kind and friendly.
