One of the highlights in our travels through Cape Breton as it allowed us to stay in a less touristy spot, meet the locals, get to see a bit of the lobstering operations, not to mention amazing views of the sunset and of the rugged Atlantic Coast if you walk out to the Two Tittles which is a must-see even if you've already "done" the Cabot Trail. We loved chatting with Cyril and Margerite who were very gracious hosts and very knowledgeable about the area.

So...yes the room is literally in the house and yes you have to walk through the house to get to your room. The owners are wonderful...as long as you have a personality. The room itself is basic but absolutely fine. Despite other reviews it is completely clean and completely comfortable. The element of magic attached to this place is the walk behind the house. Go at sunset (with a bottle of wine) and enjoy! Breakfast while looking at a bald eagle was another highlight!

Marg was good hostess and room was clean and comfortable. Walk onto peninsular was worth the drive and wished I could have stayed more than one night. The White Point bay/cove was so picturesque and peaceful. Breakfast was cooked to order!

Two Tittles B&B - an experience that we would not like to repeat.

As soon as we entered this establishment we should have seen this as an omen of things to come.

When we arrived at 14:00, a little earlier than the 16:00 check-in time, we were greeted by a not too friendly host. On entry there was a musty smell in the basement rooms. And it only gets worse.
Yes, they do have a BBQ, though upon arrival the propane tank was empty. According the proprietor, I guess I should get it filled. Changed our potential dinner plans. Luckily we did not buy the steaks at Neils Harbor prior to our arrival.
When we returned after 17:00, we thought of cooking our own dinner, we could cook it outside on the picnic tables using our camping stoves, though when it started to rain lightly, the owners would not permit us to eat inside the building in the breakfast area, and we were told we could only clean our dishes, cutlery, etc. outside, using the garden hose, in the light rain. There was no other option as per the owners.

In others words from the time we arrived to our departure, we did not feel welcomed, and attempted to avoid all contact with the owners. The feeling we received from the proprietors is, we do not want you here, but leave us your money, and disappear.
Basically in this establishment, you only have access to the room and bathroom, you can use the breakfast area, but only to eat there when breakfast is being served, and there is no space to chill outside of your designated room, unless you want to spend a not too friendly evening in a room occupied by the owners with the only TV.

There is a bedroom that they designate as a suite, the only suite is the en-suite bathroom, that at times had a septic tank odor to it. That was the room that we had on the main floor next to the living room, and our companion had one of the basement rooms and the musty odor.

Not much of a choice for breakfast, either cereal or scrambled eggs with two slices of bacon and toast, and no choice as to how you would like your eggs. We have had a lot better.

After our experience here, one night was far too much.

The only redeeming factor for this operation, is that there is a public trail at the back of the property, that may afford you a glimpse of an eagle or two, and some very nice photo opportunities.

We found this to be the most expensive establishment that we stayed at while in Cape Breton, and probably one of the worst we have encountered on all of our travels. We have stayed at many other B&Bs that provided a more pleasant environment and experience.

This establishment is way off the beaten path, and the closest restaurant or store is no less than 30 minutes away.

Check-out time is 09:30
WiFi is available, and a bit on the slow side.

Would we return to this establishment: NO ... never, we would avoid this place.

Would we recommend this establishment: NO.... No

This B&B was fantastic! The bed was comfortable, the place was clean and the village was one of the most beautiful coastal villages in the Maritimes. The small hike out near the water was one of the nicest parts of the Cabot Trail. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed this location.

The couple running the place were friendly and made a delicious breakfast. Comments about the simplicity of the rooms seem to forget that this is a B&B (not a hotel) in a very small village. Though, I still think the bed was more comfortable than most hotels.

This was a great place to stay! My boyfriend and I stayed in the little cottage behind the owners' home. It has one double bed and one single bed. It was very clean. Despite what other people have stated, we had clean and new sheets and towels. I guess they have been replaced really recently. They were definitely not old, thin, or musty smelling. The owners were very kind. The view is absolutely fantastic....it's right on the ocean!! We could hear the waves rolling in as we slept. There is a stunning little hike that starts right beside this B&B! You must do it if you stay here. We feel so lucky to have found this place. The only downside was the very loud birds (down by the harbour, where the boats are) squawking for several hours in the VERY early morning, but that isn't a knock against the B&B! It's not their fault, of course. We would stay here again and we definitely recommend it.

We travel a lot and are not huge review writers but we do go out of our way when we have an experience that really moves us.

We had one such experience at two title. We arrived at White Point, a quaint village by the ocean and surrounded by mountains, at around 9 PM. The sun was just setting over the norther part of Cape Breton and the sky was on fire.

Marg and Cerl, at first reserved, soon showed us what that Cape Breton soul is all about. They were kind, generous and shared their stories with us until late into the night as we watched the sunset from what is possibly the cutest dinning room in the region.

The room we stayed at had a window facing the water so we fell asleep to the sounds of only the ocean. The room and washroom were very clean. The bed was comfy and the sheets were really soft.

The next morning we had a delicious breakfast again in the presence of our hosts who shared their favourite places to travel around the area. We then went for a hike to 'two tittle' which is literally behind the hotel, watched dolphins swim by, and enjoyed the peace and beauty that can only come with a place as out of the way as White Point.

I must say that the experience you'll have at this place is all about perspective. You'll find something way better here than your average B&B or even your five-star hotel.

If you're open to sharing your experience and appreciating Cape Breton for what it has to offer- it's people- you'll have an experience that cannot be matched.

We loved it and would recommend it!

Two Tittle is in a location with the quintessential "north cape harbor view" and if you get the separate "cabin" you can sit on your little porch and contemplate the beauty (which only magnifies at sunset!) One of the best seaside hikes along the Cabot Trail begins immediately above the B and B. The cabin was very small, but clean and functional. The owners are real gems...and the full breakfasts delicious and pleasant as we enjoyed the company of the other guests and the very dry sense of humor of the owner. Two Tittle is not for everyone--but if like remoteness, quiet, the best cove view ever, great hiking, and unique and memorable hosts--it may be for you--it surely was great for us.

We stayed at the Two Tittle B&B recently and found both the acccommations and our hosts to be down-to-earth, no-frills and all together lovely. The cabin we stayed in is small but comfortable, with all of the necessities. The real draw of the little B&B is its location, which is right on the water in a small harbor with great sunset views. Breakfast, like the accommodations, is nothing fancy, but you have both a view of the harbor and the opportunity to talk with the owners, Cyril and Marguerite, and hear their fascinating stories of the little fishing village of White Point. If you stay here, make sure to take the hike that starts at the B&B - it's spectacular.

This was by far the most unique spot that we stayed at during our trip through Cape Breton. If you take a 2 minute walk you come upon a stunning landscape, equally as impressive as everything we saw on the trail. The only real way to access the land is by staying here since they own the access point. Very nice people, great breakfast, comfortable rooms. They were very helpful and gave great advice. The view is spectacular from every window, looking out into a beautiful harbour. My girlfriend and I both stayed in one of the room very comfortably. I recommend it for anyone taking a road trip... White Point is a must!
