Beautifully restored classic older hotel, posh inside, spacious, spotlessly clean, pleasant staff, pub on main floor 😃. Spendy accommodations but very very nice. Our only disappointment was that breakfast is not available there so we need to go out foraging for it. Recommend spending at least two nights so make full use of the room's balcony.
Beautiful room, great view, big balcony. Didn’t sleep well as we breathed in smoke from outside all night. Lots of big bugs got in the room all night and no doors or windows were open so didn’t sleep well. Pub downstairs was good and service was excellent!
Lots of History to see and learn about in Kaslo, nice place to visit for a few days. The historical Kaslo Hotel is lovely, offers a great view of the lake and serves a variety of delicious foods, however dissapointed with their 6oz steak sandwich, I would not recommend this dish. Very welcoming, friendly surrondings & staff. Laid back and really cute old down town with tons of character & interesting shops to visit. People of Kaslo are extremely kind, friendly & welcoming! Enjoyed our 5 day stay very much!
Came for the Mountain Biking and lake fun. What a great place to enjoy with friends. Food was great service was outstanding. What a large selection of great local beers. The rooms were really big and the bed was super cozy. Planning my next bike trip for the fall.
Just a quick review to share how pleased we were with the meal (excellent), service (the best) & atmosphere (outstanding) when we stopped for a bite to eat in the Restaurant last Fri. (Nov. 26th). Exceptional in every way, and we hope to be back soon! Highly recommended!
Had a lovely stay at the Kaslo hotel with my 2 year old. He loved climbing the little stool up onto the big beds, which were super comfy! We stayed on the 2nd floor lakeside with a fantastic view of the gorgeous lake and mountains. I didn't get to enjoy the balcony as the neighbours were smoking cannabis on the balcony right next to us. Instead, I enjoyed a lovely soak in the huge bathtub. The bath products provided by local company Kaslo Soapworks were divine! The front desk gentleman was super friendly and helpful. 10/10 will be back!
Beautifully renovated Victorian style hotel. Very large rooms and large decks with stunning views of Kootenay Lake. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good. Kaslo is a very cute little town and reminiscent of days gone by. Highly recommend.
Cannot believe the review from 591 Patty. Not AT ALL out experience of this hotel at the same period during covid. It was clean we felt safe our concerns were all addressed. Our only complaint would be the people smoking on the next door balcony which prevented us taking breakfast outside as we wished. I agree with the reviewer who says the balconies should be no smoking. We look forward to returning this year
This is a beautifully restored, historical, yet classy boutique hotel in one of BC's most beautiful towns. Perfectly situated in the heart of Kaslo, it's an easy walk around town. The pub/restaurant has an excellent menu and the food is first class. We really enjoyed having a spacious balcony overlooking the lake. Can hardly wait to return.
Prettiest location and breathtaking views and yup folks that’s it. We walked into our $250 night room with stains all over the rug looking like someone got sick off the side of the bed. They blamed Covid on why we had to ask for a glass to drink from and get our own coffee in the morning. Since the restaurant in the hotel is the only place in town for dinner ( it’s not open for breakfast) the service is well below average with cold greasy food and the cooks and waiters yelling at each other. I’m also calling “Bull” on their advertising of their top Chief its clear he comes with the attitude “don’t like it don’t eat it”. Wish I would of read the reviews first - these poor travellers experienced the same pain as us. My opinion is if your going to charge high end prices for your hotel then run it like a high end hotel.…
