Highly recommend these cozy cottages to anyone travelling to Kaslo. We stayed in cottage 3, which was a great one bedroom perfect for a couple. Great location, super clean, and every little detail taken care of. Very thankful for the free laundry room, wifi, and big shower with great water pressure. Sarah was an excellent host. Definitely will stay here again if we are back in the area!

Staying over for one night in September, we were pleasantly surprised by the True Blue Lodge. Though located right in town, there's a private feel to this place. The cabins are in a large yard that is shielded from the street by trees and has picnic tables, lounge chairs and a BBQ. Cabin #3 was spacious and very clean, recently updated and tastefully furnished. There's a TV, full modern kitchen and heated floors. The main drag is a 2 minute walk away, where there are several pubs and restaurants to choose from, including a poutine stand.

We visited Kaslo as a spontaneous last minute vacation and found True Blue Lodge online. It was just for one night and we didn’t expect much. But wow this is a gem, we had the two bedrooms unit. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge, dining area, nice bathroom with combination of bath and shower, and two beautifully decorated rooms, one with queen bed, the other a double bed. We were a little apprehensive as it is pet friendly and one of us has asthma. However the whole place is super super clean, thumbs up for the cleaning staffs. Beds and pillows are very comfortable, the bathroom is spacious with strong hot shower, fluffy towel, lots of it, and nice shampoo. The TV is connected to Netflix. The outside area has swing, BBQ set, apple trees and nice yard. Parking is road side parking. The location is close to the town centre and the lake front. Unfortunately we arrived late after water rafting at Slocan river and left early for Cody Cave Tours so didn’t get to enjoy much of this little gem. It is obvious the owner / manager care passionately about this place. We wish we had booked two nights here instead of staying the second night at Kootenay Lake View Hotel. Just one comment about the double bed in the second bedroom. It is very comfortable but quite small. We are a family of four but the two teenagers are very small sized so it fit nicely, but it will not sleep comfortably for two big adults. Just something to bear in mind.

We loved our stay at the true blue Lodge. The hostess was very knowledgeable about local events. The cabin was very clean and quiet. My child even bonked their wall and the understanding and kindness we recieved was above and beyond. If you want to stay in a cozy, clean, well priced place with an amazing hostess this is the place you want to book.

We recently stayed 4 nights at the True Blue Lodge. It’s a great spot and truly a home away from home. The rooms are very well equipped and clean. Guests also have access to a laundry room. Pets are allowed which is appreciated.

Sarah is a very kind host. We were planning to bring our three dogs but only ended up bringing one. Finding a place that will allow 3 dogs is not very easy. We stayed in unit #1 which is two bedrooms...they are a little small but of course when on vacation our intent is not to spend a lot of time sleeping. Be aware that pets are not to be left alone in the room. This can be a problem in some places when going out to eat BUT in Kaslo, pets were welcome pretty much everywhere. The Angry Hen Brewery was great for that (and you can bring in outside food there as well!).There was a perfect kitchen with everything needed for a good stay. Keurig coffee was a nice bonus. Although we did not use the outside BBQ, it is there for the guests. A nice area for eating outside is also available. Satellite TV and WIFI (connection was spotty at times but i think that is just the quality of internet in the area). Pricing was very good. Cleanliness was very good. We will absolutely stay here again when we come back to Kaslo. There are lots of great places to eat and drink in Kaslo so make sure you take a few days to experience the area. Flyfishing was also great. Mountain trails are great (do the Kaslo river trail and Buchanan Lookout!!).

My friend and I have never been to Kaslo before so we decided to do a road trip and we stayed a couple of nights here at True Blue Lodge. Our room was clean and cozy. It is nice and quiet area as you do not hear the traffic like you do in the city. Sarah was really helpful with information about what to do in Kaslo and where to go eat. The location is perfect as it is walking distance to everything that you need. I would definitely recommend staying here to everyone who is deciding to come here and would 10/10 come back. Thank you for your great hospitality Sarah!

This is our second visit. It is comfortable, relaxing, and a romantic atmosphere. The appointments are excellent. The courtyard is quaint. And the proximity to everything is perfect. Kaslo is a great place for adventure and True Blue Lodge is a perfect place to stay.

The #3 cabin was the best accommodation of our 2 week vacation. The cabin was beautifully designed with a separate bedroom, beautiful kitchen, living room and bathroom. Great outside space with barbeque, tables, chairs, firepit etc. The bed and linens were better than at home! A short two block walk to downtown Nakusp to enjoy the lake, shopping, restaurants and bars. Thank you to the management for all your help. We will be back.

If you are visiting Kootenay Lake, this is the place to stay. Tammy is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The accommodation is quaint, comfortable, and well appointed. The location is perfect: you are close to the downtown (2-blocks), close to the lake (2-blocks), yet far enough away you can have some distance from all the downtown activity. The cabins have full kitchen (NOT just a kitchenette), dining area, living area, and an outdoor bistro set for outdoor eating. Guest have use of a free BBQ and laundry facilities. This is a great place to stay, explore, and experience the Kootenay area.
