Great food, lovely rooms, stunning views. Stayed for two nights. Bar excellent with a healthy and busy buzz. Beer well kept and a fantastic collection of drinks. The restaurant has a fine menu and the continental breakfast was presented well. Would have preferred a fry really. The rooms have thin walls so nocturnal sounds are fairly evident. The missing bit...

Every time we are going to Stonehaven or nearby, we always stop here for snack or quick lunch. Tried several traditional meals here but the best by far is salmon skink - salmon creamy soup in home made bread. You just have to try it!

Lovely little room on the top floor with view of historic harbour. Modern, clean and comfortable seaside hotel. Super friendly reception and personal welcome. Bar on first, restaurant on second (with good views and tasty food and drinks), rooms above. Free parking on street in front and at lot on end of quay. Good wifi, also free. Slept with windows...

Decided to stay in Stonehaven at the last moment and at 10pm we were offered a lovely room at a much lower price than a similar nearby establishment. The busy and noisy pub has lots of atmosphere, plenty of room and a very good range of real ales, whiskies. etc. It serves until 12.30am and has outside seating as well...

We have had lunch here a couple of times. The food here was great, with a bit different menu than the classic pub meal. Lovely selection of real ales and belgian beer. Great atmosphere, but a bit slow service. The children's menu was ok but a bit expensive.

But not on my plate. Excellent fish and chips, good service but for the price (£12+) we were surprised we didnae get any peas! We did give this feedback to the very pleasant waitress, so maybe they'll add some greenery for next time.

Called for a lunch sandwich after visiting nearby Dunnotter Castle. We had the Prawn and Avacado sandwich with salad. We we're able to sit outside in the sunshine and watch the world go by. Would do the same again, if in the area.

After visiting the castle, we retreated to the small port of Stonehaven for a pint on a sunny afternoon. Sharing stories and cheese and sausage with a lovely delicately hot mustard... just a wonderful time had by all.

We just stayed one night. The beer was exceptional, the food was great and the room lovely. We loved listening to the sound of the waves in the morning as the sun came up over a beautiful view. Breakfast was continental with a good array of cold meats, fruit, cheese, yoghurts and cereals. Hot toast was provided (at the 5...
