Just spent 2 days in this B&B, with hosts Mitch and Bertha. Both of these wonderful people have a great sense of humour and passion for what they do. Salt of the Earth. Mere words put together, don't do them justice. Their recommendation of the Belvedere Hotel for dinners in the evening, also was spot on and supported very well,... More

The host couple were the most engaging and friendly of all the B&B hosts met during two weeks this May in six locations in Scotland.. Their warm welcome made us feel completely at home and we savored the bountiful breakfast that they prepared for us, as we engaged in pleasant conversation like longtime friends. We wish that we might have... More

This has been ne of the highlights of our trip so far, Stonehaven is a beautiful seafront town not far from Aberdeen. Bertha & Mitch are the perfect hosts and we wanted to stay longer than 1 night. Breakfast was incredible I had a taste of everything, we splet like logs on the comfy bed despite sunrise at some ungodly... More

Mitch and Bertha couldn't have been more accommodating. We had great talks and laughs. They keep the bedroom and bathroom very clean. The towels were fluffy and large. The bed linens smelled fresh. The tea tray was complete and they had bottles of water as well. The porridge was delicious. I also enjoyed plenty of fresh fruit and yogurt. My... More

Well located, scrupulously clean, stunning room, awesome and abundant breakfast… Bertha & Mitch, the owners, are absolutely charming. The girl I was travelling with remarked to me that she wants a husband like Mitch! Honestly, I doubt that there is a better option in Stonehaven (or even Scotland).

We were lucky to find a room available at very short notice and despite not expecting to have guests everything was perfect and our hosts made sure we had a wonderful stay. The room was delightful with every convenience you could want anticipated and ready for you - including wifi, tea making facilities and a flat screen TV. Everything was... More

I would like to say a 'big' thankyou to Bertha and Mitch for their fantastic hospitality during my stay. They are the perfect couple running a beautifully presented B&B, I could have stayed all day and chatted with them, they are such lovely people. There was even a special surprise for my breakfast, a Scottish Buttery. Thankyou once again, I... More

The best bed and breakfast experience! Our week with Bertha and Mitch was a true Scottish delight. Staying in their home felt like we belonged there. Professional attention to detail, but with a warm family touch. Fantastic breakfast choices! We did not have a car and Mitch was eager to work with us to provide transportation a few times. Bus... My husband and I stayed here in the end of April for one night. We loved the place. They were very warm, kind couple and we felt like visiting our long lost family in Scotland. Everywhere was shiny clean, and the room was decorated very nicely. We could tell that they care about us. The mattress was a little too... More
