My husband and I stayed two nights when we were in town for Mom’s Celebration of Life. We were so pleased with the accommodations, how pleasant and helpful the owners were and I really would recommend to anyone that wants a peaceful, comfortable stay and delicious breakfast. We will be back for sure.
During end of July and most of August we were in Dunnville numerous times; a family member had moved to LTC (long term care) and we were there breaking down their condominium and doing business stuff associated with it. Because we don’t live in Dunnville but 2 ½ hours away by car, we needed overnight accommodation. Up until the furniture was removed, we were able to stay in the condo, but our last 2 trips required a hotel/motel room, somewhere nearby. Unfortunately (and sadly) Dunnville does not have any major or decent hotel offerings unless you drive 35 to 45 minutes (25 to 35 miles) away (to Stoney Creek, Grimsby, St. Catherines, Niagara Falls, etc.) But then someone suggested to us to look at Dunnville Inn B&B (on George Street North). We did and the rest is history (as they say) ! It was perfect for our situation (only moments from the condo we were working on, the LTC facility, the law office, and the restaurants) … everything we needed without travelling back and forth to alternate out-of-town locations. It was also everything we wanted because of the warm welcome we received from our hosts Joanne and Tom, who showed appreciation for our situation (i.e.: it wasn’t just vacation or leisure time). The Inn was expansive, beautifully designed and appointed, and the facility was all set upon a large estate lot with beautiful gardens and landscape at the edge of Town where urban met forest. For the second “B”, breakfast was not just continental but our hosts cooked a full breakfast to our liking which was very good and a good start to our “work” day. As if all that wasn’t enough, there was a bonus of a heated, salt-water pool beside a large, lower level screened-in patio (with roof) (about 600 square feet) where we had breakfast one morning of our stay. We have stayed in upscale hotels in our travels (waterfronts, the Andes, i.e.: read J. W. Marriott) but the Dunnville Inn was superior in a lot of ways … check it out!…
My wife and I spent 2 nights here and found the accommodations top notch with friendly hosts and great breakfasts. The pool was clean and warm and the grounds were well kept. The inn was easy to find and close to amenities. Our room was on the ground floor and close to the kitchen and was handy for me as I am handicapped.
We had no idea of what to expect after staying in hotels over the years. But this bed and breakfast put us at ease with their private suite with all the amenities one needs. Breakfast takes place inside the main house where we were able to choose what we wanted, with plenty of choices. The hosts were very welcoming and the place is beautiful. All together with the pool and gorgeous backyard make us want to stay even longer.
Thank so much Joanne for amazing time, which we spend in your cozy clean hotel, it was like time with friends or with family. The breakfast was unforgettable, so tasty and home made style. Birds were singing all the time, what is giving you total relaxation, the pool also was great, with clean and fresh water. Deer was walking around back yard, it's one more plus. Available few spaces outside for take a really rest time. Lovely place. I recommend it 100% for get relax and spend time with your family.
Joanne and Tom are very accommodating hosts. The house is immaculate and very comfortable. Definitely one of the best B and B's that we've stayed at. The enclosed patio is a great place to spend and evening around the fireplace.
My fiancée and I were attending a wedding in Cayuga and needed a nearby BnB for couple nights, so we googled and found this place. Turned out to be be one of the best BnB experiences you could have, Beautiful, Neat, Fresh, with a feel of Home, Warm owners/operators who make you feel like you're family. Best value for money...Looking forward to a next visit... Double Thumbs Up!!
We stayed with Tom and Joanne for three days in their meticulously clean home. Everything from the heated salt water pool to the grounds was in excellent shape. The breakfasts were large with generous portions of eggs, bacon, rye toast, muffins and pineapple and melon. The area had many places to sit and chat or play games or just chill out completely. Their inn is great value. Considering the comfortable room we had, plus the breakfast and spacious acreage, it was much better than a motel. This was a place where you looked forward to returning after a day trip, rather than coming back to just a bed and a TV.
My family spent the weekend here 2 weeks ago and we’re back here this weekend. Everything was so wonderful. The pool, the breakfast, the atmosphere, etc. The whole feel of the place reminded me of being at the best resort in Cuba. Totally tropical feel right on the outskirts of Dunnville. I can’t say enough good things about the breakfasts. Eggs, toast, hash browns, fruit, muffins, yogurt, the list goes on and on. We have a 15 week old baby and never Felt like we were an imposition at all. I am particularly impressed with the grounds so many different places to sit, two different fire pits. And tonight we are going to have a barbeque. I highly recommend this place, it’s like our home away from home.
Accommodating, friendly hosts provided for all our needs, we vegetarian and they accommodated us beautifully. Breakfast was really good, perfect portions and all freshly made. Lots of fruit which is a treat. The pool is so nice - it’s heated and is saltwater, not chlorine, which is classy. There are lots of cozy sitting spots around the quiet, country property. And there are lots of bird feeders full of birds! The house is very clean. We only stayed 1 night but we were comfortable and we slept great. We were happy overall with our stay. Thanks!!
