We choose this lodge as a mid-range establishment. It was very good and we were pleased with our five night stay. It is a boat ride across the white and black rivers from Manaus and then a couple of hours by car along mostly paved roads. A final short boat trip gets you to the lodge itself. We have a...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Tupana for 5 days and 4 nights. We were impressed by the lodge which was clean and comfortable, the activities and most of all the friendly service and people. Our guide Kennedy spoke great english and made sure we had an amazing time and saw everything the amazon had to offer. We would love...

the Amazon Tupana Lodge was an amazing please to be, very friendly and kind personal. The rooms where pretty good for jungle standards as was the food (breakfast, lunch and diner). We had an amazing guide (Kennedy) who told us all about the jungle and the animals living there. We've been there for 4 days/3nights and saw a lot of...

My BoyFriend and I had recentently return from the Amazon and we can not take out of our memories the lovely days we stay at the Amazon Tupana Lodge. The place is fantastic!! All the meals were delicious - better than we had in Manaus! The animals all arround make the place a paradise; monkeys are so friendly and the...

The location is great for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. The river view is great. Fishing for Piranha was great, we caught 15 fish and ate 4 for dinner, they tasted very good. The area is very peaceful and quiet. Do NOT go here if you want to see Caiman, Amazon dolphins, birds, or animal life. None are available at this...

Transportation to/from hotel: The lodge uses a commercial van or car to a Manaus port, then a boat (with a brief stop at "Encontro das Aguas") to the other side of the river, then a minibus or van to another river (about 3 hours away), and finally a small canoe to the lodge. The minibus/van don't have air conditioning and...

Tupana lodge was wonderful! It is far from Manaus and well worth the trip to get to this pristine isolation. The setting is really beautiful in the middle of a flooded forest. We swam everyday and even kayaked along with the dolphins in front of the lodge. There was a good combination of activities ( fishing, trekking, caiman spotting etc)...

We originally booked at another lodge that turned out to be flooded. They offered a transfer to Tupana and we accepted. The location is superb, really isolated at least 4 hours southeast of Manaus. They pick up at Manaus then cross the Amazon River/Rio Negro to a van that travels south to the Tupana tributary. It is about a half...

Tupana Lodge is just as you would expect. After 3 and a half hours travelling away from Manaus by van, boat, van and boat again, you feel properly in the Amazon. We stayed for 4 nights, but didn`t get to do the camp out in the forest because of the weather. And because the river was flooded (6 metres!) we...

“All of the rooms are good. We chose bungalow, which were a little more expensive. They are nice because there are a little more secluded. I probably wouldn't bother next time as the other rooms were just as nice.”
