This was formerly the Menzies hotel so we were apprehensive about what to expect. we phoned up to book our accommodation and are pleased to say we were offered a super deal for paying at the time of booking. It cost us £101.40 for 2 nights B & B. When we arrived at reception we were told we had a... More

Room was clean and spacious and cosy TV, hairdryer and plenty of power points in room. Plenty hot water. Food was ok and service was ok. Perhaps improving on that points would help overall rating. We would stay here again.

I stay here regularly prior to travelling offshore. Have to say the quality of the food has improved massively, last night had the best fish I've had anywhere for a long time. Emma on reception was extremely helpful, as I needed some additional information, which she provided willingly and with a smile, a credit to the company.

Room was OK, service ok, breakfast was OK. It was OK. We were staying one night before catching a flight, we ate in town in the evening and ate breakfast at the hotel, along with several guys who seemed to be staying long term ish while working on roadworks nearby. They were wearing their working clothes (fair enough), hi viz... More

This place is like Butlins holiday camp...rooms shown I would not put my slippers in..yuk. upgraded to Deluxe room which was slightly better but then informed that if we wanted to sleep comfortably we needed to pay additional. You need to pay £4 per night for parking and they have an eye camera whereby you will be fined £100 if... More

My 'chalet' was as described by many here on TA, scruffy, tacky, dated and fitted with the worlds noisiest radiator - it creaked, clonked and banged every time it was switched on or off but did get the room nice and warm. It's absolutely true that you won't be warned about the ridiculous parking charge, reception did not mention it... More

We were looking for a hotel close to the exhibition centre but saw a deal for the Hallmark, a bit far away but there you go. The reception area looked tired but the staff made us very welcome and we're interested in our reason for visiting. Our room was large, clean and cosy. The bathroom was smallish but adequate, tiles... More

We stayed in September for two night. Our whole stay was great, friendly helpful staff, large clean rooms and a great breakfast. Train station to city centre was a two minute walk from hotel, which made exploring the city hassle free. We will definitely be back.

The hotel is a disgrace, they work a parking eye system there and regardless of reason your charged £100. driving to the hotel in the middle of the night and be expected to see and read signs that are claimed to be clearly visible, absolutely disgusting. to even charge for a car when you have booked a room. Is nothing... More

Stayed at this Hotel for a Country Music Festival 21st-24th October. The room we were allocated was like a Butlins Chalet. The Carpet was filthy the walls were scuffed bulb in the light at the sink was out (reported it on day of arrival) nothing done. No plug in the bath so this was unusable. On the plus side there...
