My sister and I were driving from Toronto to Saskatoon. We were contemplating on whether to stop at a well known hotel at the Elliot lake exit.. but decided to drive on.. Halted at an ESSO gas station at Blind River and Eldo Inn was well recommended by the attendant, Taylor. So we decided to check it out.. and We...

We chose to stop in Blind River while making our cross Canada return to southern Ontario. The Auberge Eldo Inn was a good place to spend the evening. The room was clean, had coffee/refrigerator. Yes, it is a bit dated but there are plans to slowly make upgrades. The owners are super nice and friendly. For breakfast we had freshly...

Stayed here while away on business. First and foremost, other reviewers should take into account where they are and how much this place costs. For it's range, it exceeded my expectations. Yes, the room is dated and the whole place doesn't look like much from the outside-- but the cleanliness more than made up for all that. And Sam at...

This place was gross from the beginning. It smelled bad when you walked into the front lobby. The hallways and rooms smelled bad too. We opened the window and tried to air it out after we arrived. The furniture in the room was unbelievably old and dated and smelled dirty. The upholstered chairs in the room were the type that...

Driving from BC to ONT. I stayed at the Hilton the night before so it's hard to give this place a fair review. It looks kind of spooky from the road. Not very well lit or welcoming but I trusted the reviews on trip advisor. It's a family run operation and the people are an absolutely lovely punjabi family. The...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way home in mid-September, 2016. At 1:30 am four guests checked in and talked in the lobby for at least 20 minutes. They then proceeded down the hall and talked and laughed loudly while slamming bedroom doors for about another hour. It is a shame the hotel's owner doesn't seem...

This is a simple place with an extraordinary young man running it! Sam is friendly and makes a wicked breakfast...best ever eggs! Location is right on the highway so very convenient if you're traveling through.

This motel is literally a stone's throw off Route 17. Very easy to find. All 12 units are accessed by an interior walkway. Our room faced away from the parking lot and Route 17 (Trans-Canada Highway), so it was both shady (in the summer) and quiet. Our host, Kimmi Sandu, was very helpful. He recommended a different restaurant from the...

Room was large, simple but clean, and the made to order hot breakfast was good. I've added a star to the rating because the owners followed up on sending us an item we left in the room. They could have said it wasn't found and not bothered, but they sent it and we appreciated their attention to this.

Sam provided lots of details about what to do in Blind River -we were on bicycles so he drove us into town for a quick meal. Eldo is on the East side of Blind River so about a 2 mile walk to restaurants. Sam allowed us to dry our clothes in the dryer. Also a good hot breakfast served as...
