On a trip to Thunder Bay we decided to stop in Blind river for the night. I checked the ratings for this Motel and found they were quite good. I called and booked a room, I was not asked for a credit card, but just my name, and what time we would be arriving so that the heat could be...

Customer service excellent, both when we called in for reservation and upon arrival (they walked us to the room). They brought small bag of ice to our room so not sure if any issue if we wanted more, as have never seen that before. Room was very clean, plain but sufficiently modern, bed was comfortable and great value for our...

The staff at North Shore Wayside Inn were friendly and helpful. The room was fine, the Olympics were on and I watched on a nice flat screen TV. Bed was comfortable and linens were nice. I could easily walk to the small downtown.

Suki & Shelly are great hosts. This motel has clean rooms, is located right along the highway, has a lovely restaurant, and is short walk to nearby stores in Blind River. I am always treated well when I stay at the Wayside. I'd stay here anytime!

Would definitely go back. It sits back off the highway a bit and therefore makes for a quiet relaxing night. Plain and simple rooms that are comfortable and very clean. Check it out next time you are through Blind River.

I had a great stay here after I had unexpected car problems while I was driving across Canada. During my 3 day stay I got to know the newer management a little. On the morning of my departure I was greeted with tea and biscuits and also got a ride to the garage where my car was being repaired. It...

In april my husband and my self and our service dog were in a very serious car accident. These people let us stay at least an extra few hours before heading to st joes with my parents . They did not charge us extra. They ate a young couple very polite always accommodating to our needs. I give them a...

We stayed in the 'pet friendly' room ..... Our room did not have anywhere to hang our clothes, the carpet was beyond stained & should have been changed or at least cleaned !. There wasn't anywhere in the bathroom to put travel bags as it had a pedestal sink & no vanity. The beds were old & uncomfortable. Our daughter...

We made an impromptu pit stop at this hotel during a cross-Canada road trip. So happy we drove the extra hour to Blind River rather than staying in Sault Ste Marie. Our room had basic amenities but it was quiet, clean and air conditioned. We felt safe and comfortable during our stay. The owners were very friendly and accommodating and...

We booked this motel for a family member last year (2013), This motel had the best price in town, when all you need is a comfortable clean room with easy access to amenities like stores, restaurants, and shopping, the 10 min cab ride for our family member to the concert site on Royer rd off hwy 557 was short and...
