We stayed here in January. The place is spotless. Cleanest motel I have ever stayed in! The staff were very nice. It was very, very cold outside but the room was lovely and warm and quiet. Really enjoyed our stay. And the price was incredible. The only downside is the rooms are very small.

We went on a drive around central/eastern ontario and discovered this spot quite by accident. The person at the front desk was very plesant and had no objections to us asking for a key first so we could look at the room before commiting.
So many of these small forgotten places can go into a state of neglect but here is not the case. The place is very clean with a comfortable bed and very quiet surroundings. We had a very good nights sleep. There was literally no noise that night. It is all to apparant they do regular upkeep and maitenance. If you want an out of the way place in the Port Perry area this is the spot. There is a nearby restaraunt and fuel station closeby so this is a good location to meet most needs.

Spent 1 night at this lovely rustic motel. The room was spacious, two double beds, fridge, wireless internet, coffeemaker, A/C, 15 minutes to the Casino if that is of any interest to you and 5 minutes to Lake Scugog. FYI, all rooms are non-smoking and NO PETS allowed. It was very quiet, we were well received at the reception desk. The rooms were extremely clean. Two chairs just outside your door where you can relax. Some motels don't have this available. They didn't have a hair dryer(so keep that in mind, bring your own) A rib and chicken restaurant about 2 minutes from the motel. Also FYI this motel is on Highway 12, just before you enter Port Perry so be careful not to miss the turn. We thought the motel was in the town but it isn't. We didn't need the A/C so we left the window in the bedroom and bathroom opened and we had a wonderful cross breeze coming in.

Colleen and I were visiting Port Perry during Victoria Day weekend for Aunt Judy's family reunion...what a party!

Knowing we wanted to stay overnight, the San-Man Motel was highly recommended and I know why.

A lovely motel; set-back from the highway, plenty of front door parking, small rooms but all the necessities you need (quarter size fridge, coffee maker, TV and satellite).

The bathroom was also small but well appointed; excellent shower/bath enclosure with built in shampoo/soap dispenser.

Of note: there are liquid soap dispenser's which is very handy, but if you prefer a bar of soap, bring your own. Also there is no iron or ironing board, but pretty sure if you asked Don and Donna, the live-on-site owners and caretakers, they would probably set you up with whatever you need.

Great people running a clean, affordable, responsible operation!

A recommended motel if you are looking for an overnight on Highway 12 near Port Perry.

Cheers! Paul

Stayed here while doing Greenbelt Cycle Route and found it to be very clean and was treated extremely well by owners. Room had all that was needed and it all worked. It has been completely renovated with quality workmanship.

Stayed for the weekend in this great little roadside motel. Room was small but very clean, with a comfortable bed, little fridge and coffee maker (and decent coffee for it!) Bathroom had obviously been recently renovated with a very nice little soaker tub and updated sink, toilet, and flooring...and again, super clean. Certainly would recommend this quiet motel to anyone. (Tip: if you need an extra pillow or blanket check in the drawers in the desk in the room)

This was our second time staying in this very clean quaint motel. Our family prefers staying in these type of family owned motels, rather than big chain hotels, and we were not disappointed. The rooms are immaculate. The motel sits back from the highway so you get a quiet peaceful sleep and do not hear anything from the adjacent rooms. The owners are lovely and remembered us from our visit the previous year. They also provided us with great restaurant suggestions for breakfast each morning. I highly recommend the San Man motel for your next getaway.

My husband and I spent one night here and had a very good sleep. We requested to double beds because we are use to a king bed and felt if we couldn't get that then two doubles were bedding then a queen. The room had a small fridge and coffee maker and the bathroom was brand new ( room #10) there were two thermostates in the room , one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom which was nice. The towels were white and very soft. There was no hot water in the morning but I strongly feel it was due to the terrible storm we had through the night and the owners were very apologetic when we called the front desk. I do want to mention that the owners where super friendly and I quite enjoyed meeting them. The sheets were white and fresh and the beds were firm and there were extra blankets and pillows if you wanted them. It was a great stop over on the way home and certainly would recommend it to travellors looking for just the basic needs.

Clean, clean, clean!! Recently refreshed, the San-Man was a pleasant surprise. Everything you want in a small motel, at a very reasonable rate. Family owned, and one can see the pride they take in their motel. Well stocked toiletries, coffee, tea, HOT showers, and very fresh bedding. Very quiet surroundings. Highly recommend!
