For all those people who travel through SA I can warmly recommend to stay a few days and nights at Malealea. Why? First of all, because it's in Lesotho. And Lesotho is a truly different world. It's less developed than SA, but also much less...More

What a place. It might ruin your two wheel car to drive the 7km to the lodge but it's worth it. Situated next to one of the villages that make up Malealea, it's a well equipped, well run lodge with a stunning range of accommodation...More

Thank you for visiting Malealea and for your wonderful review. Once you get beyond the road Malealea is indeed unique and a worthwhile destination. July/August can be cold so it is best to be prepared. We will certainly look into equipping the kitchen better and...More

Extremely beautiful location with a magnificent view. We tried 3 different walks, horse riding and mountain biking with local guides. All with awesome views and walks through local villages. A bit cold during winter time so remember warm clothes. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your review. It seems like you tried all the activities we have available and had an amazing time. Thank you for visiting us. Winter can be cold so the recommendation for warm clothes is very appropriate.

Very basic accommodation, comfortable beds, no heating or cooling but R50 per night to hire a gas heater (if available) meals 3 courses but no choice for dinner, very limited breakfast. The road into the lodge is awful and needs a 4wd.More

Thank you for your review. Malealea is located within a community where running water and electricity to homes does not exist. We try to offer basic but comfortable accommodation where electricity is provided by a solar system and therefore air conditioning is not an option....More
