There are many reasons why Shades of Jade Inn earns 5 stars across the board: because it's that good. This is a beautiful, relaxing environment that spares no expense to provide a peaceful experience. And there are many amenities found here that you won't find at 5-star hotels. For starters, you walk in (we had the Tall Cedars room) and calming music envelops the room. It's clean and spacious, with a steam sauna and heated floors in the bathroom. A small kitchenette is an added bonus, as is the hot tub downstairs. Sylvie, the owner and host, goes out of her way to make you feel welcomed and special. She had wonderful restaurant suggestions and her infectious smile and good cheer made our trip memorable. We will highly recommend this spa to our friends, and hope to return again soon.

We chose Shades of Jade for our annual anniversary get-away on the recommendation of friends and were more than delighted with the experience. The place is lovely, calm, and relaxing. We chose the upstairs suite, which has its own small outside deck. The room was great, with a very comfortable bed, a small kitchenette and a large bathroom with twin sinks, steam shower, and two person massage tub. We opted for the optional breakfast basket. Delivered each afternoon for the following morning, the basket contained different freshly made baked goods, a selection of fresh fruit, juices and coffee (or tea). The location is great as well - on a quite road in Robert's Creek, halfway between Gibsons and Sechelt (about 15 minutes drive either way). Lots of dining options in both places. We'll certainly be back!

Have stayed at Shades of Jade in the past, but it seemed like it hadn't changed at all. The room was just as beautiful and the owners Sylvie and Will are just as lovely as they have always been. Being there in the snow as it had dumped down the first night we stayed was magical. Roberts creek is a home away from home and very close to the city of Vancouver. A 40 min ferry ride and a half an hour up the road The steam shower hits all the right spots and makes the muscles relaxed after having been tromping around in the snow all day. They told us about some restaurants in Gibsons and in Sechelt that had some amazing food and great views. Check out El Segundo in Sechelt for some very tasty bites and a great mixologist. You will never be disappointed when you go to Shades of Jade, and they will be opening a private spa area soon.

This was our second stay at Shades of Jade Inn & Spa and we enjoyed it just as much as we enjoyed our first one: the exquisite beauty of the place, the attention to details, the warm hospitality make for a delightful stay - when you add a massage and the fact that the beach is just down the road, it's perfect- do yourself a favour: don't plan for a busy schedule while you're staying here as you will want to enjoy the serene atmosphere of the Tea garden (the sound of the fountain is soothing) and/or your own happy hour on the sunny bench by the entrance - we'll be back next year!

Loved our stay. Good size room with nice furnishings. Very quiet Great host: very welcoming and helpful. Highlights: private Steam/Shower; shared Hot Tub (shared between the two rooms); peaceful private patio area with chairs and (just) enough room for 2of us to practice some yoga. Spa seems popular but we didn’t try it. Presently being expanded for the Fall/Winter season. Location was convenient from the ferry and exploring the Sunshine Coast. Fully deserves the *****

We’ve gone on lots of BC getaways, and not one has come close to the level of detail, design, thoughtfulness, and built-in relaxation options that exist at Shades of Jade. We stayed in the upper Tall Cedars studio suite, which was beautifully designed and outfitted, and included a good-sized kitchen area with bar fridge and microwave. The gas fireplace kept us cozy during fall chills, and so did the slippers and fluffy robes. The ensuite was equipped with a huge steam shower and jetted tub. Our private covered deck had a water feature and a heater so we could even enjoy it in November! The hot tub was shared between the 2 suites, but Sylvie worked out blocks of time with us so we still had our private hot tub time – such a great zen view from the tub. Definitely take advantage of the on-site spa. Beautifully designed and just steps from your suite. Nina did fantastic treatments, and it was the capper on a totally relaxing weekend. During your stay, make sure to walk 5 minutes down the road to Henderson Beach for a beautiful West Coast stroll, or stop by the Roberts Creek wharf or picnic area. Sylvie sends guests a thorough guide to the Sunshine Coast so you’ll have a good overview of local restaurants, etc. Fabulous stay, lovely hosts, highly recommended.

We've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and this was by far the best place we've stayed. The room is just a haven of serenity. The bathroom is amazing! Steam shower, jetted tub, double sinks, heated floors, bidet, comfy robes. The hot tub was awesome because we had it all to ourselves for two nights. Everything is clean. I was uncomfortable with the idea of staying in a B&B during COVID but everything felt sanitary and cleaned properly. The room is so relaxing that when we checked in, my husband just napped while I read a magazine. For two nights we didn't even use the TV or look at our phones. Sylvie was a great host with excellent recommendations for places to eat. It's close to the beach although we didn't go because of weather and our time constraints. The only feedback I have is that the bed sounds and feels like a pullout couch. I'm not sure how it is so squeaky, and because it's a king there's now a hump in the middle and the sides are worn down. We brought our own pillows which helped but maybe time for a mattress upgrade. Honestly though, zero complaints. We'll be back and recommending it to everyone we meet.

Thank you so much for your review, we really appreciate it. I wish you had mentioned to me during your stay- I had no idea you found the bed uncomfortable. I'm so sorry about that. It's also a bit odd as we just spent a few thousand dollars replacing the mattresses a few months ago. To say it feels like a pull out couch is quite concerning so I would really appreciate discussing this with you over the phone if possible. We've had guests (3 specifically that I can think of) in the last 2 months ask me for the name and make of the mattresses as they had the best sleep ever and want to buy the exact same ones so I'm even more surprised that you found this one to be less than fabulous. Since your name is not on this review I will try calling the last few guests that might match this profile but if you don't hear from me please contact me- I would honestly really like to discuss this further. Thank you :)

I love coming to Shades of Jade, wonderful greeting by Sylvie and Will, fantastic yummy food, the massages were incredible and the surroundings were among the best you will ever see. Tall trees on the property, close to the water, and I love the little touches, cozy beds, candles, and all the necessities you would need in your own oasis. Wait until you see the bathrooms you will be blown away. I have stayed here a couple of times now for a girls getaway, and a romantic weekend. I can highly recommend Shades of Jade as a top notch place to stay and enjoy!!!

Sylvie and Will welcomed us into their beautiful, relaxing B&B. We were in the upper unit (Tall Cedars Suite) - so tastefully decorated and incredibly comfortable, with a nice private balcony. A beautiful view of the trees from our king size bed. The breakfast baskets were great! Had a wonderful 90 minute Shiatsu massage in the spa and enjoyed looking out to the Japanese garden from the hot tub at night. A few minutes walk down the hill to the beach. We would highly recommend and look forward to staying again.
