Just stopped off for lunch here whilst out and about and it was lovely! They only did afternoon tea for a lunch option (perhaps due to covid) but the food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely views and interesting decor!

This is a hidden gem. We stopped by to get some lunch but unfortunately we were just a wee bit too late, however, the owner Peter Speaking (thats an in joke...) was very friendly and offered us Afternoon Tea as an alternative. This was a splendid and very filling way of spending the afternoon. We struck up a conversation with a fascinating couple in the bar. It really is that kind of place where the atmosphere and the people just make it a magical place. The views from the hotel windows are absolutely world class and the staff are second to none. Als je Nederlands spreekt of Nederlands bent, dan is dit het hotel waar je moet verblijven op het eiland Skye!!

Excellent hotel this, expensive but bespoke and quality. Well appointed rooms with all facilities you could want. Well stocked interesting bar, great views and ample safe parking. Excellent food served in restaurant. Excellent breakfast too with wide choice. Quality attentive staff. Hotel is expensive and it is remote, but we loved it. Our two Labradors had a ball too … Would love to come back …

Stayed for a week. Made to feel very welcome. Lovely staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Amazing tranquil views to due for. The food was top notch. We never had a bad dish. It was not silver service but a relaxed serving style that actually added to the relaxation of this place . A bit out of the way for location, however, it is nice to come back to each day . Having said that, there some main attractions are close by. As is some of the best walking. A week was not long enough to stay on Skye It would have been good to have a choice of more cereals at breakfast and bar meals as full dining every day is too much . This was a visit during Covid restrictions so we appreciate the difficulties placed on the owners to provide added services. We had a gorgeous room. Liked the decor - very creative. We would definitely come back .

I love this hotel. It is stylish, eccentric in the way you want a hostelry on a remote island to be yet welcoming and homely. The staff are a delight, making us feel welcome and nurtured. The decor is an eclectic mix of the roaring twenties meets country house providing a heady mix of style and comfort, the sort of bar you can kick back in and relax with a glass of wine or whisky. The food is fabulous, some of the best we have had on our extensive trip around the Inner Hebrides. It is beautifully presented and showcases local produce - some real show stopping food that wouldn't look out of place on The Great British Menu.
