Detailed Reviews
Beautifully designed, well appointed and spotless! We stayed 4 nights (initially planned only 2 nights) and loved this hotel. It is just steps to a beautiful, clean beach with clear water where we swam twice a day (at least). The owner/operator, Suela, is lovely to deal with. She is warm and welcoming and fun. Breakfast was included, and sitting on the breakfast terrace overlooking the sea, eating delicious food with espresso, was a wonderful start to our days. Our sea facing room had a large deck which was perfect for morning and evening relaxing. The bed was very comfortable with great linens and pillows. We loved the Greek Islands inspired aesthetic. Numerous restaurants are nearby and the promenade was lovely for strolling or to sit and people watch. Himare is a special place and this is a special hotel.

Geo & Art Boutique Hotel is a beautiful little family run Hotel in the Centre of Himare, right next to the South West Beach - which is the smallest, but offers free sun bean bags (if you’re there early).
Room was very small and simple, however, the large gorgeous balcony made it totally worth it! We had a superior sea view room and I highly recommend getting one as it made our stay. If for any reason you don’t, there are public balconies on each floor. The view is stunning and so are the sunsets! Some of our best time was spent enjoying a glass of wine on the balcony. There was even a swing seat that are little girl loved.
The hotel is very tasteful and stylish with a “Santorini” vibe and has a great location, although you have to be prepared for music coming from the beach bar across the road all day, they pump it up between 9 - 12. You are right on the beach promenade so there is a bit of traffic noise but you are close to everything. Would highly recommend the restaurant Acta across the road.
The family that runs the hotel are very helpful and lovely and they make the best breakfast with lots of local delicacies and excellent coffee.
They also have a little boutique.
Parking is about 5 mins walk away but you can load off etc outside the entrance.
We wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else and our well travelled one year old had the best time - but we think the hotel is suited very best for couples.

Hotel is in an excellent central location just across the road from the beach. The room had a lovely balcony and the whole place was very stylish. The breakfasts were amazing with a huge selection of fresh cakes, pastries and fruit alongside cooked items. The only downside as other people have pointed out is the noise from the bar.

We loved staying here. Saula and her family were fantastic hosts. We were lucky enough to have a room facing the water and it was gorgeous. There is a lot of activity in the area which we loved. If you want absolute peace and quiet maybe stay further down the beach. If you want a place in the heart of Himare with a fantastic breakfast, walking distance to everything and a lovely staff, STAY HERE!!

Nice little hotel. Great location on the front, rooms clean, good substantial breakfast. All staff very accommodating helpful and friendly. Car park in the basement which is needed if you have a nice car or have hired one. Would definitely go back.

Best breakfast in Albania! Lovely owner who has created a really beautiful place. Gorgeous design and decor and very nice attention to detail. We have a room with a sea view which is magnificent. The sheets are great. 30 seconds from the breakfast room to the sea.

I think of a boutique hotel as a smartly designed hotel with a bit of style or character but still all essential 3*/4* hotel offerings. While the room was very nice and fresh beach design style, the other parts of offering made this more of a 2* hotel with a 4* interior design. Misleading calling it "boutique" for me, which is the reason for my rating.
First some positives: Room was very nicely decorated and clean. Very beachy design / feel. Just down the road from two banks, and can hear waves from room which was enjoyable. Host was very sweet and wanted to help despite not speaking English so appreciated her!
Negatives: No shower (just tap with long hose so could hold faucet above head). Also, no hot water. Shower is in same room as toilet with no separation so floor all wet for long time after if you need to go to washroom. We had just come back from hike in the rain on a cold day so this was a huge disappointment. Beds were a bit hard but comforters very nice (though no sheets) so sleep was still ok. Breakfast was served in room and lacking a bit compared to other places we stayed - just the small donuts with honey served in your room with tea or nescafe and baby wipes (photo attached). I will say, the donuts were actually the best we had compared to donuts at other hotels, but everywhere else we had stayed prior offered full breakfasts with eggs, toast, etc and same price. TV also didn't work.
Finding the place: very hard. There is no signage at all, and when we finally guessed based on photos after walking up and down the street with our bags the door was locked (and again with no signage) so we assumed we must have been in wrong place. Host had to come find us (but again, with no English we had trouble explaining where we were). Recommendation for hotel would be to add signage which is clearly visible from the road as this would be an easy fix and at least make start of visit for guests a lot less stressful!

Location is in the heart of Himare, directly across from 3 different beaches. The hotel is beautifully decorated and managed by simply the kindest people - Suela and her family went above & beyond for us when we hit some travel challenges. The 3rd floor, front of building, rooms have large balconies with a fantastic view of the ocean and Himare's "scene". Himare was a bit too loud for us but all goes quiet at midnight. Breakfast at Geo was wonderful and relaxing. Suela has the BEST boutique (on-site) of all the shopping we found in Himare. Wish we had bought more gifts and treasures from the shop before we went on to Greece! You will NOT regret staying at Geo & Art Boutique Hotel. Free parking available if you reserve in advance...it seemed hard-to-find and a long walk to the parking lot at first but it's really just a 3 minute walk once you know how to get there! We cannot thank Suela and her family enough for making what started as a bumpy trip into one of our best memories of our 3 weeks away! If you're going to Himare - you MUST stay at Geo & Art!

We stayed as a couple and unfortunately experienced a medical emergency in the middle of the night. The owner and her family cared for us warmheartedly and helped us get to and communicate at the hospital. I am forever grateful for having felt in such good hands.
The room was also very clean, modern and nicely decorated. the common spaces are social and we enjoyed drinks while chatting with others and the owners in the evenings. The beach is directly in front of the hotel and has a very private and relaxed atmosphere. Restaurants and bars are also only a 5-minute walk away.
This hotel is definitely a great choice!
