An ideal place to stay for walkers. Ample off road parking to leave and car not worry about it. Accommodation which was Rowan was a very comfortable bed with fantastic views, adequate heating if required, TV, kettle and drinking facilities along with access to a fridge in the dining room. Ensuite bathroom with half bath and shower over, toilet and...

We had an excellent stay in the Rowan room in November. Barry is exceptionally welcoming and a great host. The location is fantasic. The breakfast is hearty. I am over 6 foot and found all facilities (including the shower) fine. A welcome rest for weary walkers.

My friend and I stayed at Mam Tor in May. The room was very clean and comfortable with a hi spec en suite. Barry was a great host - very welcoming and helpful. The view from the breakfast room was fantastic - not least watching a variety of birds setting about the nuts in the feeder just outside the window....

I stayed at Mam Tor Loft with my girlfriend over the New Year and we loved it! We stayed in the 'Rowan' room rather than having the entire apartment as self-catering. Contrary to another review on here (PontyB), I found the en-suite bathroom to be ideal. I'm over six-foot and found the shower to be fine. Of course, I don't...

Beautiful location (Edale) but let down by the apartment. Spread over 3 levels including entrance hall are, Twin bedded room with en-suite (mouldy grout and appalling shower curtain), Lounge with En-Suite (half bath with shower over but non-usable unless around 5 foot tall or shorter, very slippery to try and get out of in contorted position - comment from a...

I've been staying in Edale for many years now and always try and book into this B and B (though it's often full or not enough space to fit all my mountain biking mates). The house is charming, a large Edwardian place covered in rambling Roses and full of books, the bedrooms are big and beds comfy. The hosts are...

You are reminded on old movies and beloved books. A house half hidden behind flowers and vine. Rooms full of books, games, and old furniture. Here you could spend many rainy days. Good beds. Lovely bath room with huge old shower appliance and bath tub. A pitty that it is shared and over the hall way. English breakfast is lovely...

Stayed for 2 nights with other friends and found the hosts hit and miss and the B&B tired. No en-suite -but we knew that - although one shower to share between (up to) 9 visitors ( and the family?) The room was very basic and the beds were awful. Breakfast was good, but like a lot of B&B's these days...

Average B&B in Edale. Property is nice if a bit twee, Good hearty breakfast but rooms could do with a makeover and are a bit dated. Lady who runs it is lovely and attentive though husband was a bit grumpy. There are better and worse in the area.
