We stayed on a mid-week special for my wife's birthday (£159 for DBB - 3-course evening meal) and had a thoroughly good time. It was our first visit, and I'm sure we'll be back GOOD - The welcome was friendly, but efficient. - The room was absolutely spotless (and I'm hard to please on that front) - even the black...

Had afternoon tea here, lovely setting in the restaurant with plate of sandwiches and cake and large pot of tea. Service was very good, given plenty of time to enjoy the treat. Had a nice short walk from hotel door

We had the 3 course lunch. My wife is has celiacs disease and has to eat gluten free. She had a choice of 2 dishes from each of the 4 on offer for the 3 courses. The staff were knowledgeable about the options and checked if unsure. The food was excellent, a beautiful location and a pleasant lounge and dining...

We recently had a pleasant one night stay for a birthday celebration at Loosehill House. We paid £290 for dinner, b and b which included use of the pool etc. Unfortunately the spa treatments were fully booked, perhaps a cancelation list would be a good idea. Quick and easy check in, helped by friendly staff. Our room (11) was a...

A small but excellently appointed hotel nestling in the Hope Valley with wonderful views of Losehill and Winhill. We arrived on Friday evening with a late dinner booking so whiled away a couple of hours in the empty pool/spa before settling down to a beautiful dinner. On Saturday the sun came through the mist and we set off in walking...

Comfy room and great food in a great atmosphere. We tried the tasting menu and the normal menu - both good. Service was quite slow but that was part of the charm for us - lovely country hotel up a quiet lane in beautiful surroundings.

I stayed here with friends and had a fabulous weekend. We had a family suite which was a good size and would have been great for a family because there was little to worry the kids would wreck. For a grown up stay, it was possibly a bit basic for the price but that is the only criticism I have....

Started badly ... no space in the car park, dinner reservation not recorded so ate much later than we wanted to, bedroom hot enough to fry an egg ... Why 4 stars ? The leisure facilities were on the small side, but good. As numerous people have commented, the outside hot tub was lovely. Dinner was nice in the restaurant....

We have just spent an overnight stay at Losehill and I must congratulate the staff for the excellent service we had there. We booked afternoon tea and it was delicious and plentiful. This was our second time at the hotel and the service had improved from last year. There wasn't anything that I could fault at all and we really...

First visit to this hotel and what a visit. Very secluded but views to die for. Lovely warm atmosphere with very helpful friendly staff. The food was simply amazing fine dining at its absolute best. The spa element is small but who cares when you can eat like that. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
