Very welcoming friendly staff. The breakfast was fantastic.Convenient location near Forum metro stop, you can catch metro from airport. The lounge area is great for relaxing having a free coffee or a drink or tapas and a drink if you are exhausted from too much sightseeing

The hotel was good with pleasant staff, large room, not far from the city centre. We could walk there and we are over 70 years old.Sleeping was ok, little bit noise from outside, but nothing to stop us from sleeping. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Only one think was missing, no mini fridge in the room. Good price compared to... More

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip. It is located just north of the old city center. The hotel is decent but really luxurious. Propper beds but the shower is a bit small/narrow so i was constantly wrestling the shower curtain. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly.... In short, it was OK but not... More

Thank you very much for your review! We appreciate it that you took the time. We are sorry to hear about your troubles with the shower curtain. First night before our cruise was fine, but when we came back after cruise we got a different room. Same floor and both faced the patio, but it was sooo noisy outside. No air conditioning so we had to keep the windows open or else it was so stuffy inside. The people out there stay out well past 1am and... More

Avenue Hotel has a great location. Metro is a few minutes walk, or if you prefer seeing Copenhagen on foot, almost all sights are accessible. Staff is very friendly, helpful and fun to be around. We appreciated their help printing our boarding passes as we are not very tech savvy. This is an older hotel with character and interesting architectural... More

Most importantly: do NOT get a room facing the street as it's very noisy. The rooms come with fans so the "white noise" from the fan helps. The rooms have IKEA furniture, the toilet is so small I think it's meant for a child, the pillows are not feather, and the free breakfast consists of bread, coffee and a few... More

We LOVED our stay at the Avenue. I spent a lot of time researching hotels for this four-day trip, reading all the reviews etc and am so glad we stuck to our booking with the Avenue (two rooms, party of three). The hotel is chic yet comfortable with the kind of lounge areas that make all the difference, meaning you... More

Good hotel, Good breakfast, very friendly, great service throughout our stay. Nice backyard where you can enjoy a coffee and croissant. Only downside, on main road, traffic starts getting a bit noisy around 7am, not in centre, 15 to 20 minute walk.

We stayed here in the middle of July for 3 nights and really liked it. Full marks to the staff who were wonderful. The hotel itself is older, perhaps a little worn, but the atmosphere was great and had an air of sophistication about it. The bedroom was large, pretty basic, but comfortable and, considering it looked over the main... More

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
