Rated as compared to other hotels in rural Tanzania. Rooms spacious and clean, ensuite good, around a courtyard which reduces noise. Food and bar simple menus but economical. (no shops in local area) In nice gardens and helpful staff despite English language difficulties. The big plus is that it is close to the Park entrance, other accommodation a long way...

If one is going to visit the Udzungwa National Park then this location is perfect. The staff is friendly and though their English language skills are limited they are still quite reasonable and helpful. The best thing about the room was the air conditioning and a good hot shower. Very basic, service grudging, food minimal, room just acceptable, shower poor. The staff appeared to think that serving clients disturbed their normal non work. Food was awful. The only good thing is the price!

Twiga Hotel is a nice place to stay if you want to go to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. The gate of the eastern part of the park is 500 meters from the hotel. The rooms are clean, bed was nice (with nets) and had airconditioning and cost 40,000 TSH per night. Only my shower didn't work properly, there came hardly...
